I don’t post much but that does not mean that I am not interested in this topic. I very much appreciate what cigarman, neno, adster, Mike and many others have contributed to this forum. I knew absolutely nothing about the dinar but quickly got hooked reading all those informative posts. I don’t care if some of them are rumors. Please cigarman, don’t take any notice of the very few jealous axxholes that annoy you. Read all the positive posts from nearly everyone here that have respect for you as I do. Keep up the good work. It won’t be much longer now!!!!!

Call Pat Sajak and buy a Freakin Vowel and Get A Clue! if you think that you are not loved and wanted in or on this Forum, Please I wish I had half of your intellect and the generosity of your time not to mention your energy, to give us all several interesting points of view wether its fact or good rumor. Top US generals say violence curbed in Baghdad; attacks kill 16 Iraqis and two US sol
U.S. authorities have attributed the reported improved security situation in Baghdad to a joint American and Iraqi operation that began in early August to deal with violence in the capital. The U.S. military has said the operation, for which 12,000 troops were redeployed to Baghdad, aims at curbing mostly sectarian warfare.
"I believe there is a danger of civil war in Iraq, but only a danger. I think Iraq's far from it. I think that there's been great progress in the security front here recently in Baghdad," said Gen. John Abizaid, the top U.S. commander in the Middle East, after meeting with Iraqi President Jalal Talabani.
Abizaid said he and Army Gen. George Casey, the top U.S. commander in Iraq, were "very optimistic that the situation will stabilize."
Casey said the operation was working.
"I think everybody has seen an improvement in the situation in Baghdad over the last weeks because of the operations of the Iraqi security forces supported by the American Army," he said. "And we're confident that we can sustain that."
Although accurate casualty figures are not available and statistics have not been provided for violent deaths in August, an Associated Press count indicates a downwards trend. Reported deaths, however, are thought to be considerably lower than the actual number of people killed._________________________________________

In the words of Mike, 'interesting'.....
The IMF's Emergency Post Conflict Assisrance" (EPCA) program of 2005 required an artifical baseline exchange rate for the purpose of retrieving and monitoring data from the 26 state and government banks and to use this artifical exchange rate as a starting reference point. They declared they would set this artifical rate for the period that U.S. contracted auditors Enest & Young would need to complete thier audit of the central and Regional banks in Iraq ending December 31st 2005 It has been extended until Erest & Young would submit these audits to the new Iraqi Government & The United States Government.
Now Ernst and Young just gave their report in. Stick that in with the IMF report of 2 weeks ago and it looks like a r/v is on the cards as they want to lift the dinars artificial value.
September is looking better by the day. Cigarman, I'm looking forward to that large expensive 5 course meal on you, LOL.Zubaidi:Monetary value of the Iraqi dinar must revert to the previous level, or at least to acceptable levels as it is in the Iraqi neighboring states.
Shabibi:The bank wants as a means to affect the economic and monetary policy by making the dinar a valuable and powerful.

Its 5 am. and I have to say 2 things. Adster great find, the EPCA is what stopped the value of the dinar in the first place at 1470. They said back then they wondered how high the value of the dinar would of gone if the EPCA had not of done this. Now we know why they done this to prepare for the future of what it would of gone.
2nd. Cigarman you are funny. It's 5 am and when I return this afternoon. You better of showed up from your game playing. If you dont I will join Raditz's Calvery and hunt you done as well. I remember my first post here. It wasn't the best welcome of what I said. Everyone most remember that this thread could and will be responsable for the next 100's of millioniar's.
