Talking This is old but still applies

OK, before I begin I will admit this one is from a dealer but it is all facts, no dinar trying to be sold, just facts. It's just fun to read and with Ernest and Young being done we're there, and yes I still haven't given up on August yet. Enjoy.

    Old Post Revisited *Please Look*

I was looking over some old posts and ran across one that Goldraker posted n April.

***Iraq the powerful new "SwingProducer" of Oil
    Arab News -3/23/2006
"Iraq seems to bethe new swing producer in OPEC," says John Kingston, global director of oil at Platts."WhileIraq's geological upside is enormous, theinfrastructure of the industry remains threadbare, and it is obviously an easytarget of insurgency. At this point, it's difficult to imagine a jump of severalhundred thousandbarrels per day of output, but it's not thatdifficult to imagine a decline of that magnitude,"Kingston argues.Baghdad currentlyplays only a marginal role in the global oil markets, for obvious reasons. Yetits role in the industry cannot be marginalized for ever. The war-torn countrytoday sits on 11 percent of the worldwide proven oil reserves of 1,050 billionbarrels. This enhances its potential longterm significance for international oil supplies. Experts believeIraq's share of oilreserves might even be higher. If potential reserves are to be included, and ifat least some of theUS projectionsand forecasts aboutIraq are to bebelieved,**Baghdad could boast ofholding as much as 432 billionbarrels."The role of a swingproducer may thus benefitBaghdad this newstature".

1)ShortTermInvestmentRange –Iraq has met ALL of the International Monetary Funds(IMF) pre-requirements for acceptance of their initial "Stand By Arrangement" granted onDecember 23rd 2005 for the amount of $685million dollars. The IMF which is 60% owned by the USA has awarded theselow interest loans that are solely for the specific purpose to bolster,"backstopping" & strengthening the Iraqi dinarcurrency.
a)Currentlythe dinar trades at the rate of approximately 1,472New Iraqi Dinar for each (1) U.S. dollar, which is 1/485thof its value of 30 months ago. The IMF’s"Emergency Post Conflict Assistance" (EPCA) program of 2005,required an "artificial baseline exchange rate" for the purpose of retrieving and monitoring data from the 26 state and government banks, and to use this artificial exchange rate as a starting reference point. They declaredthey would set this artificial exchange rate for the period that theU.S. contracted auditors, Ernst & Young would need tocomplete their audit of the Central and Regional banks ofIraq endingDecember 31st 2005. It has now been extended until Ernst & Youngwould submit these audits to the New Iraqi Government & the United States Government .

I highlighted the part in red that I found interesting. Here is something I posted 8-20:

Now considering the fact that Ernst & Young have completed their audit does this seem like all the pieces to the puzzle are coming together and a RV is just around the corner? And at least coming in around .68? Any thoughts?

Yes, you are correct, a revalue adjusts within the borders, but not for those exchanging with other currencies, this is where FOREX comes into play, but those in Iraq are not looking at FOREX, they are looking at fuel prices, food, etc., and all these will adjust according to peg.

As to the last topic, there would be no reason one country would want to adopt another countries currency since each are independent of each other, and the value of currency is different and with such a unique situation as Iraq, and the investment in the NEW dinar, it would never happen to adopt another countries currency.

If you were to take all the regional countries currency, each one is different, except for Iraq which is currently the lowest value, hence, as it was much higher at one time, it only makes sense the peg will bring it back in line within region with all bordering countries to set up equal trade agreements, so this too is another reason revalue is essential for Iraq. Anyone who does not believe in the Iraq dinar must be clueless, so this would be the last person to ask their opinion. (g)

    Good luck to all, Mike

It sounds very Interesting for some one with noway of securing their own dinar for it's safety. But for me there are just tomany other options availably. I trust my own safe as well as my own bank down the street safe deposit box as well as my own hole in the ground that only I would know of if I wanted it that way.

This guy says he lost 10's of millions from his own office and now wants us to trust him with our dinars in what he say's a bank for dinar accounts. "NOT ME"!!!! As far as I know here in the states there is no Bank accounts for the dinars as of yet and mostlikly want ever be as we use the Dollar. All and All this is just IMHO.

The only way a bank will see my dinars is when they esxchange them for my currency for my dinars. Then the bank can have them and do with as they wish. Which i asome the Banks will hold on to them as long as they can for a more revalue too.

I think if you consider this, then you might just be creating a problem that you do not need. Please reconsider and just dig a whole if you need to.

My intent is not to be confrontational or stir up strife and probably if I would think about it for a while longer I would come to realize that this link is not even worth the time it takes to write this, but I'm not hesitating and gonna speak up........

When I viewed the site from this link I got a very sick feeling, not just because of the articles but because of the warmongering and hatemongering spirit behind them. Yes, that's right, warmongering, exactly what they claim Bush to be. It is also fueled by a spirit of strife, evil, just plain evil. I know that there is so much more that could be said about this, but I will not allow it to rob me of anymore time or energy.
