Thread: Iraq/Dinar News. 09/05 to 01/14/07

Hello everyone,

I have a real good feeling about the revalue of the dinar. When you read all the post lately, you can see that something definately is happening. I think all of us will be very happy by September 24th. If not then we shall wait but have faith that it will happen and soon.

Hey cigarman, have you got a opinion on any of this? sure would like to know what you're thinking on all of this r/v of the dinar.

If I remember correctly, if there is going to be a reval it has to happen by the end on September because of the standby agreement. Also their funds that the countries are giving will be considerably less starting in October, so they will have to foot the majority of their reconstruction and economy by then. What better way than a big fat reval.LOL.

On another note, if you will notice how everythings getting pushed through and passed, it seems that their on a tight schedule. I do remember reading that September was the deadline for the IMF standby agrrement. I still think it will happen either this month ( got to give a plug for August ) or September at the latest. If it doesn't by the end of September then I think their not going to reval. JMHO.

I have a question. Does anybody know what the fiscal year is for the Iraqi Government. I've read about some articles concerning the 2007 budget and I wonder if their fiscal year starts in October like ours? If it does start in October like ours then I feel a whole lot better about September.

You know that i'm goin to agree with the august r/v ha and i'm going to say that there's some logic in everything else your saying also but do you really feel that they won't r/v? i sure hope that this is not the case because i feel with everything that has been going on and a lot that has been posted that it will. guess we'll just have to keep our eyes and ears open huh. thanks lisa

Sassy, I think that it will either reval or float on the forex by Septembers end. I honestly think that the starting point will be at .68 or higher. Like I said before, Iraq is in a tough situation. Reval low and the Isx companies get bought up, reval too high and all the speculators cash in at once. JMO
