Question...

What is everyones view about needing to open a bank account in Iraq?

Do you think it is likely that any new parliment will issue new dinar leaving this one without value?

Might be old news for some but I am relatively new to this dinar subject.

Personal choice really. A small minority feel they make keep the reval 'n house' so only ones with accounts in Iraq will be able to cash in. IMO this won't happen. Plus I wouldn't feel safe couriering my dinar to Iraq!! Prefer to have them in the next room!

Unlikely, they'd lose face with the rest of the world by doing this as they'd look unstable by doing it at a time they need to show the world they're moving forwards and getting stronger by the day.

Thanks Adster, I tend to agree, If they did that they would put the damper on any future investments which would be plain dumb.

The oil production for September was the highest in history, and December was lowest, wonder who is reporting the truth here and who isn't. Given the demand by IMF to cut subsidies, a critical issue to stabilize costs in region, this would indicate the need for peg, and once that is over, investments from outside will open up oil production channels.
