They said that business is thriving with hotels going up and economy bursting in the KURDISH REGION...yes folks guess THE KURDS does this sound familiar....SGS you go girl you are right on the money! Iraq needs $US25b over 5-6 yrs to up production to 6m b/d
Iraq needs $US25 billion in investment to increase its production to six million barrels of oil a day, from a current 2.5 million barrels. "Some $US25 billion over next five to six years is needed in order to develop oil production to in excess of six million barrels a day," said Thamir Ghadhban, an adviser to the Iraqi Prime Minister.
Mr Ghadhban also said he expects that new petroleum laws regulating the Iraqi oil market, becoming active early next year, will see the breakdown of the state monopoly, although the reserves will remain the property of the Iraqi people.

ShotGunSusy:
they are asking international countries to invest in the country starting on the 18th. thats going to be difficult with a country that has no international currency, or, opening the currency at .00068 is rather redundant as well.
and yes hopefull you are right.
