Iraq : Korean companies were willing to invest in the Iraqi Oil Sector

Korean companies have expressed willingness to invest in oil fields in the general areas of the country, especially in the central and southern regions, so the Oil Ministry is seeking to resolve the outstanding issues with Turkey in the field of importing oil derivatives, and the debt of Iraq to their advantage.
An official source at the Oil Ministry told (morning) : South Korea expressed its willingness to enter into joint ventures to invest in oil fields in various regions of the country, together with investment in all areas of oil.
He added that that came during the reception, Dr. Hussein Shahrastani oil minister Korean ambassador in Baghdad, noting that the two sides wish to promote mutual relations between the two countries in all fields especially in the oil and gas sector.
The source pointed out that the oil minister called on Korean companies to benefit from the laws of investing oil and gas that will soon be approved, praising the historical relations between the two friendly countries.
On the other hand, directed a high-level delegation from the Ministry of Oil to Turkey to discuss debt and import oil derivatives to Iraq.
The source said : The Iraqi delegation will discuss debt rescheduling Turkish committed to a monthly payment of Iraq especially that the Turkish side continues providing Iraq with oil derivatives, but is expected fluctuates new contracts with the Turkish side of Iraq processing additional quantities of oil derivatives.
