I fail to see how this has any relevence to a revaluation of the dinar, other than possibly some minor intrinsic effect.

Certainly, the initial communication would come from the minister of finance and/or the govenor of the CBI...possibly through Maliki...but definately not through a mere member of the house of representatives. I think if the dinar is going to reval before the end of the month, it will not be done in such a fashion by someone in that position. Hopefully, I am proven wrong.

there was another article stating that the mof and shabibi and the other big players were going to attend a meeting TONITE. since thats the only meeting i see scheduled for 11:00pm baghdad it seems as if everyone wants to attend. rather an odd time to be stressing to the press that they URGENTLY need to heed the notice.

indeed the reason they are stating for the meeting is very important im inclined to believe its the last straw to be put in place and that should prompt the delivery of the entire 'package'.

Well . . . here goes guys . . . When I bought my first 10M Dinar back in June on advice of Indira's family I honestly thought it was a *win-win* deal . . .

Why not . . . what the hell . . . Worst case . . . you either break even or lose a tiny bit . . .

Then I started to get reports from our Kurds & realized that they were hell-bent to make their own point in this matter & *demand* that unless they are *respected* in their insistence of a decent value for the Dinar they might go their own way with their vast resources . . .

This is pretty obvious . . . "Negotiations are currently in process with everybody on the planet that are interested in their northern resources" . . .

Honestly . . . I'd be happy with any increase in the value of my 12M . . . @ any rate near 10% a year . . . Peg / R/V / float increases / . . . whatever . . .

Indira's family is still 99.9+% sure it will be pegged @ .93- .98 Euro . . . and has been signed / sealed / agreed upon / etc. . . . and is tied up in "Baghdad Politics" . . .

But, But, . . . they are not able to tell us WHEN . . . This has them just as frustrated [or maybe more sooo] . . . as we are . . .

I have to ask, what are the family of your friend currently doing with there money? I would think that if I had first/second hand knowledge of an eminent reval, and knew the future value of the cash I had would be much greater, I would be eating out of a dumpster at this point. Again, just curious as to how they are living their lives from day to day. Thanks!!!!!

Ummm . . . I never get into other's money matters . . . including my own children's . . .

However, I doubt very much that they are doing any dumpster-diving . . . and I know they have done a lot in *Black* money . . . as many Kurds have for many years . . . Hell . . . their own money has been a joke . . . and my guess is that most of the black is US$ . . .

I'd imagine, though, that they have a substantial stash of NID tucked away . . .
