Iraqi Dinar equality to dollar, Zubaidi suggests
    27/06/2006
    Source: Al-Sabah

Finance ministry & Iraqi Central Bank study a suggestion about lifting off the worth of Iraqi dinar and returning back as the past.

And the suggestion supported by the World Bank. Finance minister Bayan Jabr Zubaidi declared that he suggested on bank governor lifting off three zeros so dinar would be equal to dollar. on the other hand, he declared his support for national peace initiative.
Thanks motomachi. Don't I feel silly. After all these weeks and I ask a question like that.

I've seen it stated several times in articles about the 1st, 2nd readings of laws in parliament.

Don't know how much of the conversation was left out, so take it for what it is worth. A rumor till proven otherwise. Though I do know our mutual friend is very trustworthy.

Is this saying he thinks the dinar should be $1.48?
If so, that would be right there with the lifting of the 3 zeroes they talked about earlier.
That would be nice, very nice! I thought it meant 148:1 Which is much better than 1474:1, but not where I want it. Any thoughts on this?

    Well, just in case:

I accept a Reval of 1:1 or better for the Iraqi Dinar
I accept a Reval of 1:1 or better for the Iraqi Dinar
I accept a Reval of 1:1 or better for the Iraqi Dinar

    Couldn't hurt, right?
Four years ago... no, it was yesterday. Today I... No, that wasn't me. Sometimes I... No, I don't.
