CBI dollar sales up to $177m
The Central Bank of Iraq (CBI) dollar sales rose to $177.470 million in its daily auction on Thursday, compared to $165.197 million during the previous session.
“The demand hit $1.710 million in cash, covered at exchange rate of 1,170 Iraqi dinars per dollar, and $175.760 million in foreign transfers outside the country, covered at an exchange rate of 1,173 Iraqi dinars per dollar,” according to a CBI news bulletin received by Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
None of the 17 banks that participated in today’s session offered to sell dollars.

Hashemi written guarantees are expected to ratify the Election Law
A spokesman for Vice President Hashimi is expected to send written assurances in writing to the ratification of the election law.
The Abdelilah Kadhim told Kurdistan News (AKnews) announced today that "Vice President Tareq al-Hashemi met with leaders of political blocs and members of the Electoral Commission and a delegation from the UN," adding that the delegation "offered guarantees access for all the provinces of their rights and to be fair to all Iraqis ".
He added that al-Hashemi "waiting for written assurances from the Office of the elections and those who put these safeguards in order to ensure the rights of all Iraqis and the provinces without any harm."
He pointed out that Kazem al-Hashemi "take a positive attitude of the amended election law in the event of receipt of such written guarantees."
Kadhem was told earlier that al-Hashemi has been studying the amendments made by the Iraqi parliament to the law with the number of advisers in order to take a decisive stand it.

Hashemi will not invalidate the law of the last elections

Al-Hashimi: election law, as amended, is equal among all Iraqis

Hashim al-Tai: Hecklers about the upcoming election will not get anything
