    Abdul-Mahdi and Melkert discuss the political situation in Iraq

    Maliki refuses to hand over the premiership to someone else

    Zebari today go to Libya to attend the Arab Summit Conference

    Foreign Ministry announced on Tuesday that its minister, Hoshyar Zebari, will travel today to head the Iraqi delegation to the summit of Arab States, which will be held in the Libyan city of Sirte Saturday.

    A statement posted on the ministry, said that Zebari "participate in the Ministerial Meeting of Foreign Ministers to be held in the twenty-fifth of this month on the eve of the summit, which discussed many of the files put on the agenda which has already been discussed and approved the draft resolutions to display around the summit for consideration and approval".

    The statement continued, "will be at the forefront of these files the Arab initiative for peace in the Middle East and resolve the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and Palestinian-Palestinian reconciliation, as well as issues related to the number of Arab countries such as Somalia, the Comoros and elsewhere, Iraq is also introducing a draft resolution to address the latest developments in the situation and development in the political process, especially in the post the last election and the importance of strengthening the Arab role in supporting Iraq and the Iraqi government's efforts in security, stability and development."

    Said the Chairman of the Oversight Committee to invest in the Karbala Provincial Council, Zuhair Alkraiti that a delegation from a Kuwaiti company has signified his wish on Monday to the implementation of investment projects in the province.
