An economist: Iraq's budget deficit in a budget two
An economic expert said that the deficit in the budget for Iraq is a budget the size of two in the case of Syria, especially given that the annual accumulation rate of GDP is low and there is no self-sufficiency.
The member of the Center for Market Research and an economist Salim al-Jubouri told the independent press (Iba), "The GDP in Iraq is low, and must go to other projects that could increase the GDP of the country such as agricultural production such as wheat through the use of agricultural areas wide, especially to the north of Baghdad, which is characterized by fertility instead of the current position of the country and its transformation to a state consumer first class."
The deficit in the Iraqi budget for 2010 more than 19.5 billion dollars after it was passed, its annual budget by the House of Representatives, outgoing, which amounted to 72.5 billion dollars.
Jubouri said that "the investment projects can not solve the deficit problem, especially given that the investment can not be created in an insecure environment to be nurtured and grow up and can cover its costs."
He pointed to the worst scenario that could face the Iraqi economy through increased percentage of deficit in the state budget and the economic situation remained unchanged in the absence of support for development projects.
He Jubouri "The country needs at least a ten-year plan could reach Iraq to self-sufficiency, but if you accept things still the same and no support for development projects and agricultural This will certainly increase the proportion of the deficit."
