    Communications Minister: we will go ahead in the license-fourth of the mobile phone in cooperation with the private sector

    Communications Minister Mohammed Tawfik Allawi said of the priorities of the Ministry's work in the next phase will focus in moving forward in the license-fourth of the mobile phone in cooperation with the private sector.

    Allawi said during a ceremony receiving the ministry that the next phase will see the upgrading of telecommunications services, mail and Alantertnt in Iraq, and Iraqi citizens touch the fruits of the efforts of workers in the ministry in the area of infrastructure development and development of terrestrial communications networks and switches.

    He will also be working on the implementation of good projects for communications and connectivity with neighboring countries, including DSL service processing of Internet phone service land and the development of postal services and others.

    Allawi praised the efforts of the former telecommunications minister, made during his term of office in the Ministry.

    Communications form a committee to resolve the problems the license file to the fourth mobile phone

    The Iraqi Ministry of Communications, Thursday, formed a special committee to discuss with the Communications and Media Authority on the granting of frequencies required by the license-fourth of the mobile phone.

    A spokesman for the ministry Smirali Hassoun told the Kurdish news agency (Rn) that "his ministry had set up a special committee to discuss with the Communications and Media Authority to grant the license frequencies for the fourth mobile phone, which the ministry plans to activate it through the next stage."

    Iraq Speaker criticizes government performance

    Parliament speaker Oussama Al Nujaifi said that the government performance is full of problems and crises and added that the plans set between the central government and the regional governments are random. Nujaifi called to set a new strategy between Baghdad and the provinces on one hand and between the parliament and the central government on the other hand. During a press conference he held on the margin of a visit to Nineveh with a ministerial and parliamentary delegation Nujaifi said that the parliament is playing its role and communicating with people in order to define the problems and finding solutions. He also called all the Iraqi leaderships to visit the provinces in order to communicate with people, to find solutions and to bond with the citizens.

    Increase in oil prices to minimize deficit in Iraq’s 2011 budget, Oil Ministry:

    “If oil prices keep their current level achieving an increase, it shall help to increase the Iraqi Budget and minimize the deficit in the State Budget for 2011, as well as decreasing Iraq’s depending on other resources, such as credits from the World Bank and foreign states,” the Oil Ministry’s Spokesman, Assem Jihad, told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.

    Jihad added that “the oil prices might be remporary and unstable, but they are useful in the present time, and we hope that they would continue on their current level.”

    The Council of Ministers had approved a proposal to raise Iraq’s State Budget for 2011 to the Iraqi Parliament recently, adding US$5 billions (b) for investment projects, that would be financed by credits from the Central Bank of Iraq.

    The oil ministry expects oil prices to remain high globally in the new year

    I expected the Iraqi Oil Ministry, Saturday, to keep oil prices in international oil markets during the current year 2011 is high, due to high demand from the countries of the world.

    Planning complain about the slow implementation of international agreements with Iraq

Kirkhman added that the grant will also develop the capacity of administrative staff working in various State institutions as well as supporting the human rights sector through the training of cadres working in this important sector, pointing out that the grant will be spent entirely on the sectors that will work.

    Iraq has signed a memorandum of understanding with the European Union in January of this year 2010 on the strategic partnership in the energy field in Baghdad has focused note on the development of energy policies on Iraq and enhance the security of supplies of Iraqi oil to the European Union as well as cooperation in the field of renewable energy.

    Turkish Prime Minister Erdogan in Baghdad soon to discuss economic cooperation

    Baghdad, Arbil host 12 international fairs in 2011

    Twelve international fairs in different sectors will be held in Arbil and Baghdad as of February 2011, media director of Pyramids International Fairs said on Friday.

    “Baghdad will host six fairs next year on the Baghdad International Fair as of mid February 2011 until next October,” Anwar al-Saad told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.

    “Arbil will receive also six fairs in reconstruction, technology, energy, oil and gas, electricity, Ceramics and cars sectors,” she added.

    “The fairs will kick off next March until October 2011 on the Arbil International Fair,” she noted.

    Deputy for the national agreement: to approve the 2011 budget mid-next month

    The deputy of the Iraqi National Alliance, on Wednesday, that the political blocs agreed on the Adoption of the budget law in 2011 mid-next month.
