    House of Representatives postponed the first reading of the draft budget until next Thursday

    Deputy of the coalition of Kurdish blocs, Tuesday, was postponed for the presidency of the Iraqi Parliament first reading of the draft budget for 2011 until next Thursday.

    Deputy for the National Alliance: The Government amended the budget is at the disposal of Parliament

    MP for the National Alliance of Abbas al-Bayati, a government amendment to a financial budget at the disposal of Parliament.

    Iraq’s oil investments exceed 100 billion (b) US dollars:

    Iraq’s oil investments has exceeded US$100 billions (b) till its 1st and 2nd licensing Rounds concluded with foreign investment companies, Oil Ministry’s Undersecretary Assem Jihad said on Wednesday.

    “The Investment Companies in Iraq need further support to facilitate their activity,” Jihad told Aswat a-Iraq news agency, adding that “the oil investments inside Iraq till the 1st and 2nd licensing rounds have reached 100 billion (b) US dollars.”

    Iraq had signed 10 oil contracts with leading international oil companies during its 1st and 2nd licensing rounds, held in Baghdad in middle and last months of 2010, expected to increase Iraq’s daily oil production from 2.5 million barrels per day (bpd) to about 12 million bpds during the forthcoming six years.

    Ministries of Trade and the Kurdistan region and Iran sign a memorandum of understanding

    Iraq gives up a giant oil field development

    The Iraqi government plans to invite foreign oil companies to develop the field of Nasiriyah after it said it will be the task itself.
