Al Sadr heads to Iran

PM Maliki to confer with former PMs Allawi and Jaafari to settle security cabinet posts:
Iraq's Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki is planning to confer with former Prime Minister and Leader of al-Iraqiya Coalition, Iyad Allawi and former Prime Minister and Leader of the National Coalition, Ibrahim al-Jaaafari, soon to settle the issue of the security cabinet posts and the National Council for Strategic Policies (NCSP), al-Iraqiya Coalition's Spokesman, Shaker Kattab said on Saturday.
"Tripartite meetings among Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki and al-Iraqiya Coalition's Leader, Iyad Allawi, with the presence of the Leader of the National Alliance, Ibrahim al-Jaafari, are expected to be held this week to settle the issues of the security ministries and the National Council for Strategic Policies (NCSP)," Kattab told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
As regards to the nomination of Falah al-Naqib for the post of Defense Minister, Kattab said: "Falah al-Naqib is still al-Iraqiya Coalition's candidate for the post, but we are prepared to get to an agreement with the others, in such a way that would serve the interest of our country, because we are a flexible bloc that respects the Prime Minister's notes towards our candidate, prepared to reach solutions that achieve a government of national-partnership."
The Iraqi Parliament has granted trust on 21/12/2010 to the new Iraqi cabinent, led by Nouri al-Maliki, after about 9 months of serious dialogue that followed March 7th nationwide parliamentary elections, including 42 cabinet posts, whilst Maliki kept the administrations of the Interior, Defense and National Security Ministries under him on temporary basis, whilst he assigned several other ministrial posts on "acting" basis for other ministers, pending the final assignment of their ministers.
