Released : Saturday, September 16, 2006 6:20 AM
SINGAPORE, Sept. 16-(Kyodo), The following is the gist of a statement issued Saturday by finance ministers and central bank governors of the Group of Seven nations after their one-day meeting in Singapore.
-- The G-7 holds a positive global economic outlook, with the United States posting moderating growth, Europe seeing solid growth and Japan staging a broad-based recovery.
-- Emerging economies are broadly enjoying robust growth.
-- The G-7 will remain vigilant to downside risks such as tight and volatile energy markets and rising inflation expectations in some countries.
-- Volatile and disorderly movements are not desirable in exchange rates for economic growth.
-- Greater exchange rate flexibility is desirable in emerging economies, especially in China.
-- The G-7 renews its pledge to pursue sound policies and calls on others to meet shared responsibility for orderly adjustments of global imbalances.
-- The G-7 urges all parties to show the political will and flexibility to resume the stalled Doha Round trade liberalization talks under the World Trade Organization.
-- Fundamental reform is necessary for the International Monetary Fund to maintain its legitimacy and credibility.
-- The G-7 agrees to intensify efforts to combat money laundering, and as well as terrorist and illicit financing.

Zubaidi:Monetary value of the Iraqi dinar must revert to the previous level, or at least to acceptable levels as it is in the Iraqi neighboring states.
Shabibi:The bank wants as a means to affect the economic and monetary policy by making the dinar a valuable and powerful.

This is for Janelle
I have a mac also and I noticed the same problem yesterday. I looked around to see if I could find out what was going on. I scrolled all the way down to the bottom of the page and clicked on style, mine was set on vertex, I changed it to default and it works just fine now.
I hope this helps.

Yes I read that too from another source while browsing the journals of other feedbacks by reports covering thee Singapore swing trying to rub it in...where possible
China is also in a disposition...for most of you shall by now realised, many of yr household items is a "Made in China" bi-product that the world is slowly coming to grip with it and increasing the value of the Yuan is NOT doing any good to their tendency to economic growth and quick positioning on the "must have" market among the eager consumers the world over.
And China is no easy push over.... the problem with politics there is the case of many including George Bush or anyone before him, could ever understand what it takes than just vermicelli to feed the Chinese population to reach their core thinking when it comes to sharing with the rest of the world....you can look at it both ways... many Chinese themselves have a hard time developing/overcoming this instinct too....
The world is getting more engaged with a dilemma of many issues entangled with, "You crossed me once back there, now is your turn to try compromising with mine so what have you that I don't need but I can still consider when the next Chow is served?"
Lets just hope, the Dinar is less complicated as it already appears for the region.

Thank you guys for helping us all stay in the loop. For me personally there was no disappointment that we did not hear of an revalue, because I am sure it is coming shortly (no source). Maybe it has already???
We heard rumors from various sources, that more or less said the same.
If there was not truth in that why have those rumours been retracted?
All the best Mandy.

Hey BOO: Here's my post from 6 this am . . . Nothing since then . . .
The purpose of this post is to make folks aware that I'm here, not going anywhere, and still very, very, optimistic . . .
In both phone messages & emails we have received our Kurds are patiently waiting . . . as we are . . .
They have a lot on their plates and the r/v is not quite the priority it is with investors . . .
I'm sure if it is moved back they will be no more happy than we will be . . .
The Kurds are *SHOW-ME'S* . . . not *TELL ME'S* . . .
They trust us more than the other two-thirds of their own country . . . and they still don't trust us 100% . . . remember we HAVE left them hanging [literally] a time or two in the past . .
Subsequent email places blame on procedural hurdles being cleared . . .
I'm not surprised by any of this . . . this is virgin ground . . .Φ Iligitimi Non Carborundum Φ....

I have a question that may have already been answered here. Does the Iraqi government still work during the Ramadan Religious Holidays?, and would they announce a R/V During the holidays?
