The OxForex site is giving prices but openly states that they do not support teh currency and not to open an account as you will not be able to get quotes. Where the data comes from i have no idea. Why we are getting so many different prices from the posts on this site i do not know. The CBI website still says 1475 is the rate, and i woudl have to say that is the rate as we have it right now. I hope that we hear something differnet that can be verified, but as far as i can tell there is nothing. Systems are quoting the prices, it all seems to be geared up now that any change taht is made can be uploaded to anywhere in the world in the blink of an eye. All we need to see now is that it actually happens, how we will find out i still think will be some sort of announcement. I really don't think they will just put it out there, because the vast majoriity need to know why it just went up so much. Really if they did this, how many people that have never heard of the Dinar are going to come out and bash the whole system, and try to say that it is still worthless. If you think about it, it is in our best interest for the Iraqi's to come out with the IMF and the World Bank and say this is what we have done and why! They need to drum up investment business from more than just the Oil COmpanies. Banks outside of Iraq need to be confident to do the trades, becasue they have the most to loose. If they ust paid be 1:1 they need to know 100% that they already have it sold to someoneo else becasue if it goes back to 1:1465 overnight there are banks that would go broke.

mine has the date 09/12/06 in the lower left hand corner NOW. i agree it had the previous date there earlier but now it doesnt. it does not give you separate charts for 5day as opposed to 1 month, they are identical for the USD/IQD. its just stuck at 1.0000 and its not movin.
the EUR/IQD pair is actually MOVING.

I think she meant they ordered 3M dollars worth of dinar.

I may be way out there, but could someone revisit the "embargo" statement? By all accounts it appears that "something is going on. Is it to far fetched to think that an internal announcement has been made with a gag order for lack of a better term until everyone is on the same page.

It's been published in numerous places that Iraq probably has newly discovered reserves that would put it over what SA has..try doing a google search with a term like, "Iraq has more oil reserves than Saudi Arabia" and see what comes up. I'm not sure which reserves were removed from books however, it could mean that some of Saudi Arabia's reserves are depleted and have been subsequesntly removed as a crude oil source for excavation purposes, not sure though..Hope this helps you

Just a quick question. Has anyone purchased dinar from United Missouri Bank? My family has for several months and the orders placed Friday have not arrived with no explanation and I was told by a friend that they tried to buy some today and was told that sales were suspended until Wed. To many lines to read through for me. They took an order for me today through my MIL for 5 mil more but that was before I learned the new info. Not sure it will deliver at this point.

Any thoughts?

Before it is admitted that Iraq does indeed have more oil than Saudi Arabia & Kuwait combined. I am sorry that I cannot provide the link. I have been trying to find it, but have had zero luck.
