good luck guys and gals, for my own reasons i really hope that this gets done soon.
I still keep hearing the Iraqi's will be rich overnight theories being thrown around. I am puuing my 2 cents here because they are not news, mods feel free to move this if you like.
Iraq does have a staggering M2 of around 10 trillion. However they have the equivalent of $20 trillion in foreign reserves, as well as basically another $10 trillion in domestic reserves. That means that even if the IQD value of the foreign asets drops to $13 Billion IQD (1:1), they will still have more than 100% of their currency in circulation in reserves.
Now lets also say that they have 100 billion barrells of oil in reserve, as a net asset value after expenses of only $10 per barrell, that is another $1 trillion in oil revenues profit.
Now lets also say that the RV does happen, and people start to cash back in, then the CBI will be buying back all the currency in circulation that is not getting used by the Iraqi people. Will this happen directly CBI buying dinars back, or will they do it by selling oil for dinars back to other governments. I sugest that is what they will try to do over time, but not overnight. THe govts of teh world will still have to buy the dinars on the open market and this is not something that banks do every day.
After the reval, the M2 will drop considerably with the CBI buying dinars back or exchanging them for oil, and on the other hand the dinars flowing back into the country and providing some of the private funding that is so sought after when all of you start investing your dinars in iraq. That means that all of a sudden the currecny in circulation is being used to help the country develop.
Now the CBI tells us that from the 10 trillion in circulation, 7.5 trillion is outside of the banks. And then that includes all of the dinars being held in peoples pockets both in and outside of iraq. So how mcuh of this is ouside of iraq.
What i am really getting at here, is that although the figures may look like everone is going to be rich overnight, that is not the reality. There are so many other factors in this equation that i have not mentioned or can even think of right now, but there will be a lot of you that can add to what i have said here. Please feel freee to add further thoughts, or even correct anything you may think i have gotten wrong. I believe that the volue of their currency is actually working for them to make the RV happen, because it gives them the reserves to make all of the transfers etc. However that is mainly provided that the Oil is flowing because it is probably the one thing that is going to give them the foreign currecny to be able to buy the dinars directly. It is in their best interests to actually get the companies investing in iraq to buy them on the market and then bring them back in to build refineries etc. I think that relieing on the offshore companies to buy them and then buy oil with dinars alone may be a little too much to rely on.
I have to run out of the office, i will check back late to see if anyone is seeing what the hell i am on about

Does anyone have any response to Neno's post about dinar being a scam. We need some of you, our educated leaders to give us your slant on this.

Neno posted an email he had from someone telling him to warn his contacts and members of the scam concerning dinars. I think he called - just thought I would post this for you to read. Make of it what you will.

Bs
Someone should tell Chase, as well as other banks they are involved in a scam then.
"When they wake up later on and try to sell the dinars back they're in for a big surprise. They can't. Nobody is buying Iraqi Dinars. There's currently no way for them to recover at most 1/10 from their investment except if they are willing to travel to Iraq to cash it in."
