I've been telling myself since July that what I already had was enough. I woke up this morning with that funny feeling. Went down to the Chase bank here on the south side of OKC and ordered another chunk. Tellers were a little unfamiliar with how to process the transaction. Said that IQD had only been available to purchase through them for a few weeks. They said it would be delivered to the bank by 3:00PM tomorrow. Although they were all helpful, they seemed pretty clueless. This was the only IQD transaction they had done. Have always bought mine from Freedinar. Much better rate at the bank. 767.6/million
No mention of delays, etc. Was just like buying a cahiers check, only with a 24hr delay.

Thought about that one, too. Only problem is, I don't have a clue how much I'm going to get for everything. I mean, I don't think I'll get less than $250 for my electric guitar, bass, and amp... But knowing my luck, I'll place the order, and not get even $215 for a small 250K Dinar purchase. I don't think I want to tempt the fates too much over this one... And besides there are no funds in the collective bank accounts, as this is our "tight" pay period of the month. House, Car and Insurance payments are all made on this pay period. EWWW!!

Are you crazy? you are making house and car payments instead of buying Dinar! Where are your priorities!

With that said I must say you should NOT be tempted to buy into more now...Take what you already have and count your blessings!

Do not jeopardize your family's future with a rumour on a forum! All signs point to a reval soon, but keep your head about it.

And if the reval doesn't come soon, you can buy more when your budget allows.

My brother in law cherishes his guitars as I'm sure you do too! They are worth far more to you than anyone else, and no amount of dinar can bring you the happiness they can. Can't strum paper....

I agree. Being an optimistic person, there is a positive in either direction. If the press conference is not "IT", then you have more time to buy more NID to your heart's content. If the press conference IS "IT", then sorry no more buying but hey, YOU ARE A MILLIONAIRE. Who the heck cares about buying more NID.

I would tend to agree with you, and I am certainly not jeopardizing anything, I promise you. These are guitars that have remained in their cases for the past two years or more. I don't play 'em. My tastes have changed - I strum on my Martin acoustic only nowadays (and that one is NEVER being sold). I'm not breaking the bank, or even touching our normal finances on this venture... Never have in the past, and not starting now, that's for sure. I used to purchase dinars whenever I got a side web gig - But the well has dried up for the time being (as these things tend to do from time to time).

I do like my acoustics, but I don't have a need for my electric/bass anymore. It's not like I'm 20 years old again, and crank up the amp, and play some heavy electric guitar with a cranked up distortion... I'm over 30 now, with a 20-month old son... Times and tastes have changed, and those days are long gone for me. So I'm not parting with anything near and dear to me anymore.

Truth be told, we have 1.3M dinar... And okay, I'm not all that superstitious, but if there is a chance that 13 is unlucky... I don't think I'm willing to roll the dice on that one. That is really what is at the heart of this... I don't want to be stuck with the lucky number 13 as our balance for the reval. I just want to get 200K more, and get away from that "13" in our amount that we hold.

A simple fix my friend.... give away a single note (whatever smallest denom you have). That will get you off the "1.3" number.
