Common sense will tell us. That if in fact, they are passing out these ration cards. On the 16th, so if we do not get an RV. Or some type of exchange rate move. By the 17th, then we will be in for a longer wait than anticipated. We would be looking at the very end of the year or even into 2007. If they passed these rations out without an RV. Then did an RV 1 month later, you would have a bunch of pxssed off Iraqis. Complete anarchy and ciaos! So my fellow dinar investor associates. It is either now or not for a long while. Which do you choose?

First are we totally positive for the 16th to start ration distributions?

What i dont understand is would they leave it to the last minute. I mean the cheques are going out monday how close is that. Presently there is no sniff of a reval. huh, i dont follow

The HCL and the WTO membership is very important, especially the wto membership which requires a convertible currency

But look at this. If you would get $6 dollars on monday and spend it on food etc. and after 1 month they revalue the currency and your gift which would be worth $15000 is gone. I would be really pissed off

I think it is now or not until long way into 2007

In a previous post, i said that i thought that the 10000 dinars was a pittance to offer the iraqui citizens at the present rate. Also, I could not see ANY government giving each citizen 10000 dollars particularly IRAQ, as they are in dire straits............ whoops i feel a song coming on........... but also I am thinking, in our own circumstances what sort of figure can you see any goverment shelling out for each and every citizen. With that I am not convinced a reval is imminent. But if it is, it will be stepped and small. I am well confused.

DD My source was telling me by the end of November in the .31-.35 range, now he is hearing .14-.15 sometime this month

I can't take the sources anymore, just get something done.

Well if you had as much Oil as they do and will have, you could do almost anything you want., cause everyone wants your Oil.

This is an interesting read. I googled James Baker and came up with several articles I had no idea about. There is a story about Kuwait and some double dealing with a financial group Baker is part of. It sheds some light on Kuwaits refusal to forgive Iraqi debt. It is a couple of years old but I am sure that things have not changed that much.
