    Hot Off The Presses

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The reval will be Sunday October 22nd at the rate of $1.47. My sources confirmed it (my source is my bulldog). The date is my guess. Just kidding, we needed a laugh.lol. I'm sure some hearts started beating faster, imagine what it's going to feel like when it does!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We needed a lift today.

PS: I added the other highlights, especially the parts I like, how is that for news reporting! Just tell what you like and skip the rest! Well the whole story is above, I just accentuated the best-est parts!

I went to the site and looked it over...what a wonderful endeavor! I suggest any of us RolClub members that find this interesting to form a group representing RolClub and help these children. I am not a great leader but I am great as a follower and participant. Anyone interested in representing us and heading this up? If so, count me in as a worker bee!

Just think of the help we can be and the good we can do AFTER the reval!! Lets go gang...who knows...maybe someday we can even SAFELY make a trip to see the rewards of our efforts. This would truly be an INVESTMENT in the future of Iraq.

Maybe we need a new thread called For The Children of Iraq. Ideas? Suggestions? Volunteers?

You talk about terrorists, well maybe xealthy's idea isn't so bad. Protect our airports and borders sounds more like a conservative viewpoint to me (and while we're at it our ports). I am very conservative but I think if you' call yourself conservative and support everything GW has done, you are not a conservative. The fundamentals of the GOP are/have been less government, less taxes, and less spending. it cannot be denied that in the last 6 years we have seen an extreme reduction of our constitutional freedoms. The only part of xealthy's comment I disagree with and I believe the part you had the problem with is "Hoopefully not on to the next War that is Concocted by this administration." Saddam should have been taken care of during Bush Sr. admin. and would have been had it not been for the U.N. Everyone should know at this point (and would know if not for some selective reporting) that this war is not about WMDs or OIL, it's about changing the face of the middle east. Up to this point we have only had Israel as our one true ally in the middle east but if we can show the people of Iran and Syria that a democratic capitalist society can not only work but bring prosperity and happiness in an Arab country the oppressed people of other countries will demand change.
Firstly, I am not angry. I am concerned about the nievete espoused in ''xealthy's' post and your defensive posture in validating her points. IMO, both of you ladies are missing the real threat to our very existence. If we 'cut and run' from Iraq as most democrats favor, the Islamic terrorists will eventually follow us here and attack us on our own soil. Have people already forgotten the harsh reality of 911? As President Bush as said all along, we would rather fight the terrorists on foreign soil than fight them here. We no longer have a safe haven unless we take steps to assure this objective and it can be painful. The Islamic fascists define us (The West) and Israel as the primary obstacles impeding the imposing of Shia rule worldwide. We invaded Iraq and took out Hussein for one primary reason and that was to prevent him from providing WMD's to al Qaeda to then be used against US interests here and abroad. Even liberals can't deny the multi-national intelligence reports which surfaced during Clinton's Presidency stating the existence and proliferation of chemical and biological weapons. For those that still claim that no WMD's have been found, Hussein had two years to funnel and bury these weapons deep into the inaccessible Syrian desert. One of Hussein's former high ranking generals stated this is exactly how and where these weapons were disposed of in a report to our military during the past year. The sands of time will ultimately reveal its' deadly secrets. As expected, it was largely supressed by the biased liberal media in this country and around the world. We want democracy to succeed in Iraq for several reasons including the ability of the soverign nation of Iraq to contain and fight the spread of Islamic fascism within and beyond its' own borders. This obviously continues to be an ongoing struggle but a defeat in Iraq would create a terror vacuum exceeding our worst nightmare. FYI, I am a staunch conservative. Based on your comments, you appear to be a moderate, McCain like Republican that vacillates when and where needed. No conservative that I know would ever claim an 'extreme reduction' in the their Constitutional freedoms. Name one. This is straight out of the ACLU handbook. The old cliche, 'Freedom Is Not Free' is truer now than ever before. Well, time to leave the OXYGEN Channel and get back to reality. God bless our military and our country!

    Smile us bank

I went down to US Bank to put some more dinar in my safe deposit box today and had alittle chat with one of the bank officers. I asked her if they were exchanging dinar and she said no because Iraq was a third world country. I told her if things get straightened out it could be a good thing. She said her husband had bought alittle but she thinks it is a waste of money. I sure hope she will be eating those words and I will be walking in to rub it in her face. Hope! hope!
    Go big or go home.

That is why I posted it in the first place. I should have started it in a new thread for all of us to get involved in. We can send school supplies ourselves or donate money to have them do it. I think it will help the overall view of American's if we help out there children.

Ok Neno you can move all these to the new thread for the children. Sorry for not thinking of this sooner.

This post is for a moderator or admin. I am no longer able to access Rolclub forum from any of my McIntosh computers. Header will come up and adds down the side but nothing else. This has been the case for the last 24hrs. Not trying to be a nuisance, just didn't know if you realised. Thanks Janelle

To begin I am not a "lady", secondly I consider myself to be very conservative. I was in no way saying you were wrong in you previous post. I was only suggesting that we be nicer to one another on this forum as we are all here for the same purpose. People will have different views when it comes to politics, the war, etc, and I think we need to accept that. I have served my time in the USMC and I understand what we are fighting for. I do not agree with everything GW has done, but I do believe that one day he will be known as one of if not the greatest president in our history. To say that a person cannot be a conservative because they do not support everything that GW has done is absurd. Can you honestly tell me that you are not troubled by warrantless searches and surveillance? As I've said before the core values of the GOP are less taxes and smaller government but It seems like we are becoming a nation where big brother will be constantly looking over our shoulders and I for one have a major problem with it. Being a conservative, can you honestly say you agree with Bush's border policy? Do you think we can truly be safe while illegal immigrants are walking freely across the border?

Okay, I was rambling but all in all what I wanted to say was that while I did not disagree with you I don't think it's a bad idea to keep this forum as pleasant a place as possible. It does us no good to get upset and argue via the internet.

    Have a great day.
