Exactly it will take 1.43 dinars to buy one dollar so
each dollar will be worth more than one dinar

1.43 dinar = 1 usd or 1 dinar = .6978 usd

This time you got it right, 1.43 dinar will equal 1USD before you were saying
1.43 USD will equal 1 DInar.

It is so easy to get mixed up that I just mixed it up in this post and had to edit it.
, especially because people keep making the same mistake and it gets repeated over and over and no one corrects it. So it sticks in everyones mind that a decimal shift gets us to $1.43, this is not the case just go over it once and you will see that a decimal shift gets each dinar worth .69 dollars.

in shifting the decimal i was thinking on actual items of merchandise and services which are priced at a certain amount of dinar moving the decimal place on those items and it would be a simple conversion. but i know it wont work like that. im confident that it will be somewhere over a dollar and twenty cents as ive always maintained per the kurds. and considering they are what has driven the motivation up until this point im pretty confident in that assumption.

Okay here is what I am trying to get to....I want to take a 10,000 dinar note to the bank and they give me back $14,300 USD so however I get there is where I want to be.....sorry I am being dense I have very few brain cells left.

I am totally with you guys in that I believe that a r/v to parity or better with the dollar is in the cards.

It can be confusing and I had to go back and edit my last post because I got it mixed up.

I understand that in someways a decimal shift might make transactions a bit easier when adjusting prices, however I think there are much bigger factors that are weighing much more heavily than pricing convenience.

They did not seem too bothered about people calculating prices when they devalued the currency so I think they will just raise the rate to where they see fit ( hopefully over $1)
