Wanna hear something FUNNY?!?!

My car salesman calls me on Monday and tells me that I can turn in my vehicle early with no penalty and not pay the remaining payments...I have been COUNTING DOWN THE MONTHS to get rid of this mini-van...as I swore up and down I would NEVER own one...(not that there's anything WRONG with them...just not exactly 'ME') but I got a deal that was just too good to pass up, and with the 3 boys I thought I could handle the thought of driving one...well I can't.


SO! I tell my husband that I can turn it in...now he's all over me about going and picking out a new vehicle...and WHY haven't I...you HATE that van, why would you drive it ONE DAY MORE than you HAD to?

So I told him that I was waiting until August to see what happens with the dinars...now he thinks that I'm COMPLETELY off my rocker...AND he brought up the fact about the early turn in in front of my parents...who KNOW ALSO JUST HOW BAD I want to get rid of it...and the fact that I haven't yet...and now I've got the questions...Why? How come? When?...so I finally told my mom again that I think I am going to win the lottery sometime in August, so I'm waiting...add TWO MORE people to the list that I'm nuts!

So I am putting my life 'on hold' when it comes to vehicle selection to see when this reval takes place! (but if it hasn't happened by my birthday, I'm gonna go get something cute! Was wanting the H3 after the reval....everything crossed again guys! loL! )

Well all I can say is make sure you go to the dealership at the end of the month. Alot of salesmen are trying to make their quotas for bonuses then, and they will cut you crazy deals. I also drove a mini-van for awhile, with my 3 girls, but felt the same way. I just didn't like it. Went to the dealership on March 31st. Got the car I wanted, and got almost $8,000.00 off the purchase price because the salesman needed one more car for his bonus. He even said that the end of the month was the best time to go. And if you go at the end of August, in September they roll out the next years models, and they try to get rid of the inventory of the 2006's. So stick to your guns Tiff, you will get a better deal at the end of August.

The whole family uses this guy so we get the employee price anyway...it's just what rebates are offered on top of it...THAT'S when to get'em! My husband got like $12 grand off the truck he just got...people don't want the larger vehicles because of the gas prices...they're offering WICKED deals on the bigger ones right now...Which I need a bigger one with the kiddies! So Yayee for me! lol!

Yes, I am in a similar situation, so am waiting while the industry goes into a tail spin and prices drop. I use to own a lease company and I know all the games used in the industry, and the early turn in lease is an old ploy, which sounds good, but all they do is roll the difference they are supposedly paying into the new deal, and with huge incentives and so called trunk money, you pay for it one way or another. (g)
