Karin,
Love this reply! Sometimes we (as moms) need to stop and think about ourselves. When we have children we tend to forget our own wants and needs, because we put them first. We kind of lose ourselves to our children, but this sounds great! I think I will get a personal trainer. I am in decent shape now, but want someone there that can push me a little harder. As far as lipstick goes, have never had the money for the good stuff, so I may go to one of those department stores, and try on a few different colors, and splurge on a couple, just because I can. Yep, I would definitely have to add, taking care of me for a change too!

Karin,
I like this post very much. Choochie and Tiff hit it on the head, we as moms do tend to neglect ourselves.
I'm gonna have surgery on my eyes too, and who knows, maybe on other parts of my body too. Why not? I'm at the age that I can really see time's affects, but believe it or not, I'm more comfortable with my body than ever before, even with some unwanted pounds.
First, I will pay my tithes and give where God directs.
Then I will get COMPLETELY OUT OF DEBT! YAHOOOOO
My husband needs to visit the dentist and the men's dept in Dillards.
I'm gonna get my oldest son a great older muscle car.
Pay off debt for some relatives.
Build my mom a home and buy her a car.
Take the whole family on a wonderful vacation.
Take my husband on a very romantic vacation.
I will work in the different things for me here and there. There is no hurry.
Doesn't it feel good to be out of debt?! I can feel it, I can see it, I believe it!

Well, I have just moved to Malta 3 months ago to start my own little business as a Reiki master (or rather "mistress") here. My husband is doing Internet marketing.
After I have cashed in my dinars of course we won't have to work any longer to make a living. :-)
I can't really imagine a life without any work at all because I love what I am doing. But after the reval I will only work when and as much as I really want to, and most of the time I will give my treatments away for free, just because they benefit my clients and myself!
Of course all my investments will be running great, so I won't really have to touch on my capital. I'll just let it work for me and live of the interest!
But there are some expenses that I will have to make: I want to buy a small house for my mother-in-law who has always worked hard and never had much money in her life. Of course I am going to give some money to my parents too - and to my ex-husband who now is a good friend of mine, and with whom I still want to share my new wealth as we have been together for more than 27 years. I owe a lot of what I am today to him.
My second husband and I are living in a nice flat with a seaview over here, so I don't know yet if I am going to buy a house for us. Maybe in 2 years when our tenancy agreement is running out... I think our friends and family members who are coming over to Malta so see us here and enjoy the Mediterranean flair would appreciate a house, perhaps even one with a pool? It sure would be nicer for them than the small guest room that we have now. But let's just wait and see...
But what I really want is a nice car! In fact I'd even like to have 2 cars. My husband and I are "Smart" fans, so I'll definitely buy a nice new red Smart Cabrio (just like the one I see passing by here from time to time) for us. But of course that one's really small, so we cannot use it when we have guests here, to pick them up from the airport or to show them around the island. And of course it's impossible to transport bigger purchases such as furniture or so in a Smart. So I think a Jeep or Voyager or something similar would be perfect.... I could also lend that one to our guests when they want to explore the island on their own.
And to finish it off I would like to have a boat - just a small one for which you don't need a driving license as I really don't want to take another exam in my life! I've had enough of those!!! :-)
Did I mention travelling? We both LOVE travelling!!!
May all our dreams become true very soon!!!

I have rethought my plans from and changed post 1 to this.
I thought this might be fun. What "Dreams would you like to happen and become reality when the dinar r/v's?
Me, I have to change mine from what I had. I am still very young. 42. At first I wanted to buy this and that and pay this and that off. But now since I started this thread, I have gotten plenty time of time to think about it and change my mind to a real world thought of dreams.
You know when this happens it will be a dream come true for alot of people, including myself. I figure that this is not by luck but by a higher power than we really figure. Or just plain Luck. Either way. I would be a fool to spend one cent of this money.
What my new plans are, are too invest it all and live flourishly off the Interest. this way it will always be here for the next and next generation of my family. This oppritunity is a blessing in the making. So I have refigured my thought to respect the blessing by spreading this to as many of my future generations as possible.
Once I am dead and gone on to the one that gave me this blessing my family will be able to do the same and then theirs as well. I know that this is the best way for me to be thankful for the blessing I recieved to pass it on to the next genration and the next.
I know I will have to arrange this in my will. I really feel this is coming to a end very soon with all the dreams happening for each and every one of us. I just want to take this time to Thank each and everyone of you for all your fine post and great attitudes you have all had in this forum. "PLEASE" after your dreams are answered be sure and dont forget "ROLCLUB".

What a beautiful post Neno. It seems to me that most people in here are like minded and aware of the need to be thankful and to help others. As far as Rolclub is concerned I very much think that unless someone instigates a rehab centre for Dinarholics or Rolaholics there will be very few amongst us who could live without Rolclub.

I love this thread!
My boyfriend and I usually sit on my porch talking Friday nights (drinking beer! ). And then we almost always start dreaming of the dinars - like we did with PIPS before... And we look at what kind of boat we will buy; Lasse used to be a sailor and dreams of sailing around the world. I would be too scared, but I guess I would do it anyway. Would have to wait until the kids are grown up, though...
And we think about what cars we will buy...I always buy real cheap, old, ones, because I never have money, but then of course they (usually) don't last very long either...and the car I have now will only last one more month; then it's revision time and there's no point in taking it there 'cause it won't pass...so in one more month I won't have a car!!! I have ALWAYS had a car...usually, since I met Lasse, we have a few! And now ALL of them are ready for the dump!!!
Except my Buick of course (Centurion, convertible, 1971) but I can't use that in winter. And it "drinks" like 2-3 liters/ 10 km...
But I WILL pay off my loans. I remember Mike (OSW) advising me to may be keep the mortages because "knowing you CAN pay them is as good as paying them" so first I thought about that...but now I have decided to pay it all off. A lot of money for tax, I know, but so be it... I NEVER more want to be afraid that they will take my house because I can't pay my loans!!! And I NEVER more want to sit sick to my stomach of anxiety when I pay my bills because I don't have enough! So, if I get rid of ALL loans (house, studies, visacard...) I will be FREE!
Also, I would NEVER invest it all. Hey, I know the kind of luck I have with investments...
/K
Ps. More dreams please! Next!

When I truely thought this might happen I sat down and though about what am I going to do with this money! Of course, I will pay everything off as all of you will do. Then take care of children, Mom, and family. But then if invested right, I will never have to worry again and neither will my heirs. Well my husband and I thought you don't get this kind of gift and not be expected to pay back. I thought I would start a scholarship for kids from broken homes, since I was a single parent for 15yrs. in the name of my Father and my husbands mother. Then as I tutor for a "locked down" facility for kids I will donate money for different things needed for the school (which we have a bingo for now). Then my brother has a corp. something like Habitat for humanity. He is a minister in St. Louis area and the work they do there is amazing. I thought I would donate any big equipment they need or anything else they want to do a project. I am a very simple (not cheap by any means) person and I do think that this will be a blessing I did not expect in my lifetime. To not give back would be something I could not live with.

I just took the time to read this thread... wow.. what a great bunch of people!
It really makes you feel good that the one thing everyone has in common once we've addressed ourselves.. is to help others.. Flygirl... I really agree your dream addresses a area that would truly be appreciated by so many. Karinc.. I also understand the feeling of not wanting to worry ever again about debt... there alot of options to consider for planning for years to come.. For me.. like everyone... Immediate family and friends will be first.. Then.. I love animals.. I would love to be able to somehow support endangered animals and animal shelters.. including ocean animals... maybe even some hands on involvement. Travel will be a definite!! Cruises will be a great way to check out areas I've never seen.. hopefully our dreams will start comin true soon
