You secretly learn that your employer is going to fire you two days from now (the information is reliable). What steps do you do next?



First day: I would call in sick, telling them I'm very ill.

2nd day: Tell them I'm feeling unbelievably sick, can barely talk. Tell them I'm going to the doctor.

3rd day: call at 6am and leave a message: the prognosis is not good. I had some poisonous mushrooms. I'm in a medical facility. I may not make it. These next few days will tell. Tell them if the worst happens, I loved working with them, wish them the best.

4th day: ghost it. Don't pick up phone. Just get a new number. Don't answer door. No post to social media (better yet, temporarily inactivate your FB), don't answer emails. Then never make contact with anybody from work ever again.
