What are the rudest words you have said to your parents?
My youngest brother was incessantly crying. It was dinner time, I'd had enough shit that day apparently. We're at the table with whatever dinner (me, two brothers, the sister) and the baby brother is crying away. My birth mother was screaming at him and pushing him away from her. I'd had enough.
I got up from dinner, didn't finish it at all. I took baby brother in my room. He screamed and cried at the door, even after my mother's rejection. I had been yelling back at her when I left the table. Behind my closed door and ready to defend myself, I screamed:
“IF YOU DIDN'T WANT HIM, YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE HAD HIM.”
Rude. Disrespectful. Atrocious words for a child to speak to a parent. Unfortunately, truer words have rarely passed through my mouth.
She almost broke my door in, the door frame cracked a bit but the door remained solid somehow. I was backed up against it (me as an overweight 10 year old girl), my baby brother who was just 1 year old finally accepting my comfort.
