Not sure if this is the correct forum for this question, but here goes.
On January 4 I was in an accident which totaled my car. The other person was cited for going through a stop sign/flashing red light. I went to the ER and had some x-rays and some follow up visits with my doctor. I had a lot of bruising from the seatbelt and ear/face pain from the airbag. The total medical expenses come to $3300 and lost wages of about $500. So, her court and testify against her which was a really uncomfortable experience for me. Anyway, just looking for some advice here on what my counter offer should be. Thanks!

If you needed your appendix removed you would see a surgeon. You wouldn't try to do this yourself.
Legal affairs can have many complexities that cannot be appreciated for a long time.
The best thing you can do in this situation is to see a lawyer from Jae Lee Law and not look for advice over the internet.
I'm going to guess that you have not gone to lawyer because you have an idea that you will save money by not paying a third of your settlement to an attorney. It should occur to you that lawyers stay in business because they increase the total dollar value of a case beyond the one third that is their fee. In other words, even after paying the fee you would come out ahead.

Sorry to hear what you went through. I understand that it was a very uncomfortable situation for you, but don't worry, I've been in your shoes, and it passed. Just give it some time. However, in my case, I have not been injured. It was my car that got severely damaged. The repair cost would have exceeded 75% of my car's book value, so I had no other choice than to scrap it. I wonder what happened with your vehicle? Was it very damaged? Also, if you ever want to scrap your car, then definitely get in touch with those from scrapi.com. They did a great job and helped a lot!

Hey! Getting into debt because of a car accident is really terrible. You should act as soon as possible and I believe that the best solution in such a situation would be to declare yourself bankrupt. I recommend reading this article on how to get car accident leads to better understand what you should do to declare yourself bankrupt and not have to pay debts.
