As an example: I have over 50 apps ideas and through a friend met a programmer who has a team of developers that he works with to produce iOS apps https://onix-systems.com/blog/correlation-vs-regression We've built one app together so far - my role was ideas and project management. What I've learned to date: 1. You have to make it worth the programmer's time. If you can't pay him/her money, what can you offer him/her? I've bartered some marketing help. 2. Paying a programmer will get you more attention. If I barter, my apps projects get backburnered. If I pony up some cash, they get more attention. 3. Producing an app isn't hard - marketing it is harder. There is such a glut of apps out there that getting anyone to download yours is a real challenge. 4. Determine your business model. Are you going to make money from your app? Really? How? Apps as money-makers are rare and there isn't one proven way to get there.
