I am grateful for the existence of this board!

That having been said, it does NOT cost 8000x$25=$200,000 per year to run this board. It is absolutely ridiculous to claim that it does. If you are going to request a $25 per year fee from 8000 members, at least be upfront about the fact that you are trying to make some money! LOL

If you read what i have posted until now, which you should have done!. Or didnt DREAM something while writing what you wrote , you would have know the answers for your questions by now :!: . You would have found me beeing upfront about facts! what is the number 8000 you are using (a dream number?) we are 7100! And you must calculate only 10-20% to pay!
So why aren't you reading the hole thread, and why such usless coments :?:

Who operates this forum ? I would like to know the individuals that I would be paying fees to ?

Given the light of what is going on right now, you are asking money from PIPsters in the guise of keeping this forum running, when Bryan came out and posted NOT to start another forum. You can call this forum anything that you would like, but as long as the main interest is PIPS which we know it is, you are going against Bryan.

I find this a bit confusing, since Sept 1, BTI started charging for their membership, and this is one of the only other forums availabe for posting and information regarding PIPS.

So to charge a membership fee, I don't know about that....especially without know who is behind this administration and who controls the servers and who is pushing the strings...this is actually mirroring what we just experienced in BTI.....sounds more to me like someone is trying to make a few fast bucks at the expense of members...isn't that what PIPS USA was doing ???? Isn't the old PIPS forum to be up soon ? that is really all members need to keep in touch....Maybe I will open a chat room !!

Charging a fee for membership may't be sound idea although I agree that admin needs a way out to fund the expenses required. The spirit of this forum is to provide a platform for information specially in times of crisis like we are facing now. Once everything is up and running, the requirement of such forums will be eliminated or at least will be lessened.


I will suggest to keep it free for larger interest of members and find alternative methods of funding such as:

1. Advertisements from willing members\companies by way of special \ focussed section. Remove all other free ads.
2. Contributions from willing members who wish to donate.
3. Google ad words.

Remove all old postings that are not relevant to make it clean. Guest may not be allowed either to view or post.

Just to make one more thing clear. By charging a fee you will become accountable to whatever is posted here.

By making it free you remain within a voluntary service and may decide to close anytime you want. By taking fees, you invite a TOS and you need to be obliged to provide a service and refund the members for the services not performed.

By charging a fee, I am sure many valuable information will be missed as many people who can't or do't wish to pay fee, will go elsewhere to post. The entire purpose of this volunatary forum will be defeated.

However if you decide to charge, I will consider to make payment.

All methods you mentioned have been discussed here before.

Google ads - (correct me if i am wrong=60days to get payout (an to low)
Donations - Very few give that.
Ads will be added for the next year of our site, so we can get a membership free site again.

I wish to answer one of your quotes above.

I respect your views. Yes i have paid all out of my pocket until now!. Even though Bryan said NO forums, Please!, why are the people that upheald that on any forums then??

I for one have my own thought that i believe inn, and trust most off all. I want mainly people on this site to be able to track pips. And if you are not one of them, i believe you are lost in the cyberspace.

Anyway, nice having you here. If you cant share the cost, i cant blame you, but i certainly will not have any possibility to pay more out of pocket anymore for now, and that does not solve any problem that this forum has.

Hope you also see my point.
