Rolclub started as a response to pipsinc’s own forum closing down. I believe we all needed a site to se the development of pips. In the beginning lots of people were against any forum. But I guess we weren’t wrong. There was and is a need of such a site. We have today more then 7000 members on Rolclub and increasing all the time.

Reading several of the posts, about other forums that promote other programs, to earn advertising money or charge their members up to 100Usd, I get a feeling that many are trying to make money. This is something I have been trying to avoid, paying all rolclub expenses out of my own pocket for past 3-4 months.

We have had expenses in form off domain name change twice, changing hosting providers twice, adding several moderator option to their Cp as well to add function to the admin CP, keeping the forum from going down because of session problems, corrupt database correction, adding chat that need to be changed, spending countless ours on the site to keep it clean etc etc. etc. Ongoing expenses all the time. This has become somewhat a bit costly.

We have today a hosting provider that offers us 4000 MB of storage, and up to 300 GB of monthly transfer. But since we have increased in size, and the amount of people browsing and posting on our forum has increased enormously, we simply need a dedicated server to deal with so many pips members. We need a stable server with good internet connection and a transfer bandwith that is way more then what we have today.

Our hosting provider is very often asking us to look into something dedicated. This is the reason that you all see the error mentioned below increasingly:

We have done what we can do to correct all other problems, but this problem will increase until we get our own server. I am sorry, I can’t afford more expenses like this at the moment out of my own pocket. I never thought we will increase so much in size. But am very glad for it.

Here is the problem. We need to start charging our members money to cover the expenses for Rolclub.com. Otherwise the site will have more downtime then uptime. BUT!!!! We only wish to pay the expenses of the site. It does not mean that we wanted to earn any money on you!But we dont know who many will pay us. Our profit might be 0 or high. Depends on how many pay. But remember, we have cost all the time, and need to extra funds to change things and so on aswell. I could also use some of it to get back the few thousand Usd i have spent til now if i make any profit at all. I think its fair.

A good server cost a few thousand Usd, and I am not going to waste my time looking for something inexpensive and so we have this problem again. We need a good internet provider that can run our server with a high speed internet, as well as protect our server with the needed software to keep it from being hacked and so on… We need a Programmer very often to do corrections in the forum database and all other types of problems mentioned above. And that does not come for free.

I believe we will soon be closing inn to 10000 members in a 1-2 months at this speed of signups, and if we leave this problem as it is, I am afraid you will not see to much of Rolclub as it probably will be down all the time.

I did not wish to make money from this, but if i do, i will spend it well :-). Anyway, I decided to ask you all what you think about this. How much is fair? I ask all of you to participate in this now, as you can affect this matter now. I am more then happy if this membership fee covers the running cost of Rolclub. And you all can have a place on web to keep tracking pips.

They way I see it. I should charge a 25 Usd a year fee. That’s should cover all expenses that we have now with setting up a new server, its software, making this site a paied site with a software, moving database to an new server, and any later cost of the site.


We need to shift ASAP. I hope you all understand my point. If you wish to make a wrong conclusion out of this, yes you can.. But does that solve the forum problem we have today?

I would like to suggest to you that there might be a way to help you
cause by the following.....

... weed the free loaders, the poeple who are promoting for free
on this site, i.e. www in their signature, promoting a program which
has referral attach to those program.....

... if someone ( free loader ) want to advertize, they should pay....

... consider some paying banners, company, org, will pay for displaying
their products, programs, it does not have to be like TG, there are
other forums which are using some kind of revenue recovery cost.

Those revenue should be explored before moving on to expending,
also, the amount of traffic on your website will decrease when PIPS
will be back to speed.

I guess I came back just in time even though I'm off soon again but what is decided is an inevitable course long overdue and deserve pragmatic and speedy support should we want a credible, strong and reliable server in place. Please accept my support on this and just how can the $25 be wired to?

Apart from CC, I think many have available amount in Egold to be made over readily.

I have thought to do that also, but honestly this is no final solution to this matter, at least no solution that pays for a server as soon as we need it. I will look into it anyway. But i believe this will take so long time to do so, that we might experience lots of downtime before the revenue is enough to just buy a server. What about the internet line we need, the software? the site problems mentioned above? I have as i said tried to pay for all my self for past 4-5 months now. But unfortunately can’t cope with such cost my friend. Further exploring of what you mentioned will be done for the following years yes, but at the start now, we need lots of hardware, software, programming help, change in site options and so on!

saying 25 Usd, i believe, i have been fair. Witch is lot less then 100 Usd that many were paying for other sites, and still cant login. I think could help gather as many users of this site to understand this fact. if we could get as many we need, we will not kick anyone out, and honnor the users of this site.

I don’t wish to use the other forums ways, to justify that we need to have a paid forum, but in times like this, as you cant be to sure of anything. Anyway the problem in our forum still persist, and I think all off our users have seen it by now several times. Please be patient with it, as we will do something with it as soon as we can settle this matter between Us and the members of this site.

Dear members, i wish to wait a few days before you all start paying. i want all to read, discuss and know what going on, so nobody has any second thought at a later time. I will post where and how to pay.

We will accept egold and e-bullion for sure. If anyone has better ideas, i welcome them, but we cant use 100 of payment processors.

I believe most PIPSters and undoubtedly, they all may by now be waving a CC albeit from a bank or other, CC payment is the fastest but that option is not available with ROLclub hence, when Admin offers a few safe and reliable alternatives (that are hack-free protected) other than just Egold, please support adherence ASAP. :)
