Hi Nej. (and everyone else!)
Yesterday I spent a couple of hours on the phone with my credit card companies.
Two of the three companies have heard about the goings on with StormPay and I didn't even have to explain anything!
You can have the charges to Stormpay.com investigated and reversed by calling the credit card companies....some will send you a formal investigation form for you to sign to prove that YOU are not the scammer and that you truly DID get taken advantage of. Two companies wanted me to write a short statement on the subject to submit to their fraud department. So I did that and off in the mail it went! :-)
I attempted to get my funds through StormPay first though. You are supposed to 'go through the proper channels' first.
I wrote them requesting my money...nicely.
I wrote them again requesting my money within 24 hours...not as nicely.
I cancelled my Stormpay account totally and then contacted my creditcard companies.
Here is what a friend of mine found out....

If I don't receive it VISA have informed me they will treat this matter as a fraudulent theft of my monies by stormpay as by freezing the autosurfs accounts deliberately they are knowingly preventing the provision of the service I paid for through them.
I also told VISA about Stormpay stating that we could be 'punished by law' by pursuing this matter through card issuers and they said that in itself is a baseless threat that they were not entitled to make."

So! The little guy that owns StormPay thinks that he is a BigShot trying to scare the members just because he is an attorney! Yah! Have you seen his photo? Looks like a little weenie to me!!! (where are those darn smiles??)
As of today 12dp and SP seem to be 'working together' toward a resolution.
Something about figuring out refund strategies...my SP account doesn't exist anymore, so if and when I receive anything credited to my creditcards I will be sure to let Charis know so that I am not double credited! I can't wait to see what her new program is!

Thanks for your post - interesting to know that the card companies know what's going on... I guess the level of complaints about SP has put it firmly on their radar! I used a Mastercard not a Visa, but I guess it's the same.
I have entered a support ticket but frankly I've NEVER had a response from a SP ticket so I don't imagine I'll get one now.
I'm going to chargeback tonight. I know that Charis wanted people not to do this, and if it wasn't much money I wouldn't, but I want my $1000 back now. I'm owed $1700 though... If 12DP do manage to refund the money to my SP at all (and if SP accept it as I'm sure the chargeback will annoy them) then I'll keep the $700 and send the $1000 back to Charis.

I know that Charis doesn't want people to do chargebacks, but 12dp isn't the only program that I, personally am involved with.
And yes, if it wasn't so much money, I wouldn't care, but I am in for the max and it was my first time jumping in with it...who'd a thunk that StormPay would be the one to mess things up?
Also, if you read the news section with the statement from both Lifeclicks and SP together, I didn't really like the last sentence....
"LifeClicks can confirm that there are 12DailyPro funds available at StormPay, and we are working together to formulate an orderly and equitable reimbursement plan for refunding as many of you as we possibly can. We appreciate your continued patience as we work through this process."
'As many of you as we possibly can' does not ensure me that I will be one of the ones reimbursed, you know??
Yes, I'm patient, after all I am a pipster, right? But I'm not going to let a little weasel steal my money while the whole world watches!
If I do happen to get reimbursed twice, I will do right by Charis...she always has for us! :-)

Interesting,
Sad to say, but it looks worse every day and I can't even get into my Stormpay account. I was reading that people have had all sorts of illegal and unathorized debits from checking accounts and credit cards, so it wouldn't surprise me to see them close up with all out money frozen. Thanks for the input Tiff.
