Pigman posted again and gave 3 reasons for SI site delay. I think they make sense.

Regarding SI, I know there are some very hurt, disillusioned, and angry people on this forum who stand to lose a lot of money of SI goes south. I am one of them. However, maybe we can put all of these things aside and possibly look at this with a detached perspective.

An IT specialist, who lives in my apartment building, told me some things about bringing servers on line.

There may be three points regarding a delay in putting SI servers on line:

1. The computer specialists at SI are having logistic troubles trying to bring data together.

2. They are having difficulties trying to get the serves to communicate with each other.

3. They may be making a false server trail trying to get us to think they will come back.

If its Number 3, its all over. If, however, it is one of both of the first two, there may be an explanation.

The first thing is to load the application software and get it running on the local server. This means running tests to find any bugs and any other abnormal operations. If any are found, the system must be reconfigured, or the program must be rewritten, to cure them. Testing must continue until the new script functions as perfectly as possible.

The next thing is to load all of the data (subscriber and financial files). If the new computer system is in a different location than the old one, data must be transferred between them. This means establishing a link between them that is wide band and fast enough to do the job in a reasonable amount of time and with absolute accuracy.

Once the new application program script is functioning satisfactorily, the data must be manipulated so it performs the task for which it was intended. This means more testing.

Once the application program and the data are working together, the entire system must communicate with the host server, all of the servers in the chain, and also with the DDoS software at the proxy server location.

SI has been burned in the past with hacking and DDoS attacks. A DDoS attack is where someone takes control of thousands of computers and aims them at one Internet site in an attempt to tie it up with enormous amounts of traffic. Mean! SI, and other sites, have experienced these. That is why many Internet sites go off line in an attempt to prevent, or eliminate, this kind of attack. He said that trying to get DDoS software to perform properly sometimes can be very tricky.

Once the system seems to function properly, beta testing begins. Companies, or individuals, hired by the company setting up the system, attempt to hack or swamp the system with DDoS attacks. The beta testing must continue until the entire server chain functions as it was intended. More time consumed.

Once it is determined that the system is functioning, it is put on line. Nine times out of ten, something happens to cause the system either to behave erratically or to crash altogether. Off line it goes for repairs.

My IT neighbor said that he worked on a system one time for 30 days to get it up and running. He would leave the server site and go home. Ten minutes after he got there, he would get a call on his cell phone that the system had crashed. In his car and back he would go (he is on call 24 hours a day). What a life! Nice to be young, unmarried, and making a pile of money.

SI may be experiencing difficulties that they had not anticipated.

I am not trying to give anyone any false hopes here, but there may be a good reason why the SI site has not made an appearance yet.

What really bothers me is the lack of communication. What planet are these people living on? Don't they know that there are people out here who have been scammed many times and find an Internet site going off line the death knell to their dreams of a better life?

Why hasn't SI communicated any difficulties at least to their VIP members, who might pass the information on to us? It could be that SI management lives in their own little world.

Whatever the case, I hope this works out here. We all could use a little infusion of cash.

pine tree Nice explaination of possibillities I use to beleive in SI and PIPs Now the only thing i beleive in is SHOW ME THE MONEY!!! you got your last statement right WHERE DOES SI ADMIN LIVE? ON JUPITER, < OR MARS?> In the begining of the SI program You could get an answer from them in less than 8 hours. One of the rerasons I thought they were good. Yeah Right!
