Well, I get nothing from the old IP address but 66.228.113.179 is still alive and showing it is connected to:
66.228.113.179-reverse.sl2.solidinvestment.com on Softlayer's servers
Actually 66.228.113.170 is in the same server range as 66.228.113.179
If I was still on a T-1 like I was at my previous work it would have been within the IP range we were assigned. In other words... they may have anchored the fixed IP address just a little higher to keep the inquiries down.
So, softlayer still shows SI... but I think that the old IP 66.228.113.170 and the port 80 won't respond because they have migrated it to 66.228.113.179
I keep seeing my old post used where I showed the traceroute, thought I would update it.
By the way the trace route still comes up the same.....

Hey, if you two don't like what pinetree's posting, I'm quite certain that there's nobody with a gun to your heads, forcing either of you to come into this thread to read what he's typing, right?
There are plenty of people that are very glad that pinetree's doing all the great research he is & posting that info for the rest of us.
Still don't like what he's writing? - fine - don't force yourself to read anything in here, then you won't be so put out with his research.
Thanks again pinetree, for continuing to keep us updated - it's greatly appreciated!!
