Of course, the effect of your efforts may be that you brought false hopes, or worse, the attention of even more people to a new scam/... but I think chances for that are unpredictible and most of us all are smart enough to make up their own minds and remain careful.

Anyway, as I prefer to leave both ways (scam/comeback) open for at least a longer while... (whatever: this is no promotion, just an opinion )
this is a fair counterweight for the 'scam' shouting wave raised already right after the site went down... a reaction which I can understand to some extent but still made my eyebrows frown... Bumps in the road happen to real companies as well so why not with on line ventures... considering such a construction isn't only 'virtual' in some way but sure fragile too... Moreover, I remember another member posting about how immediate lawsuits and other pressure of pessimistic / opportunistic / ... members & other parties can jeopardise the survival of a program struggling with critical problems... even when they are legit: I don't know for sure what's the best attitude/reaction in general, but I can sure believe what he's saying... Imo many people's 'scam' stamp came too soon - and SI deserves more credit than it got.

From that perspective it comes in very handy to have someone here bringing some updates of what might be a prologue to resurrection. It feeds the curiosity and the intuition with a new experience... without having to spend much time digging into all this... as rationally speaking, spending time here is a waste of time as future will tell anyway...

ps people, i don't think it's very wise to wait for anything to happen today or even this week... there's so much that can go wrong with setting all up again (if it's true what they're saying). Don't wait and see (if ever) = less frustrations.

Don't worry Hasse, I know the difference between opinion and fact..I just got frustrated at seeing posts that were claiming they were factual when they weren't. So much of that happened here anyway with that "other program". Likewise, I don't know where our invested money is right now with regard to SI (does anyone)? As far as replying to OIC's post about the operators of SI being involved in child pornography, I said that I had no idea what they were involved in but if it WERE true it would be horrific. It's a typical story being played out once again. Factions line up (pro SI/con SI) then some claim to have facts which aren't facts at all, some get villified for pointing that out, bad feelings ensue. I see somebody else here mentioned that today, August 8th, was touted as either the day SI would return or the date everyone would have been paid by, I can't really keep up. It appears neither has occurred. At the end of the day, the reality of the situation is the only thing that matters. It is more than ironic to me that certain investment programs have no problems taking in revenue, but when it comes to paying it out all kinds of difficulties surface, always leading to a demise of the non-paying entity. BTW Hasse, I always appreciate the fairness of your posts.

thanks for your reply... as I realise I was rating you 'harder' already than you actually are... while it's good not to let our (after an exchange of thoughts not even that big) difference in opinion interfere with living among eachother as human beings all together :).

I understand your concern... and indeed, people should read what pinetree copies from that other forum as indications of something that might happen... not as the announcement and one and only truth about what will happen... One has to take it for what it's worth (and that's no blame to pinetree, just an observation on what information is worth in this segment of the internet... or anywhere in the news for that matter).
But don't make pinetree too responsible for others' conclusions. As far as I remember, he may be positive about what he catches up at the other forum, but he also gives it for what it's worth (right, pinetree?).

Still, as a possible counterweight to the trend you observe: one thing that makes me leave both options open regarding the SI outcome, is that reality is often more complex than an outsider thinks or can even imagine.
(Which makes me think of another analogy and maybe a good example: the probably common experience of a boss/chief coming at you saying 'c'mon, this can't be that hard! Isn't this ready yet?' Only a minority is as assertive, analytical etc an employee who's able to explain to that boss (if (s)he wants to listen) what's going on... and prefer to work hard instead of trying to explain, so the work is done, satisfying the boss more than a hundred words - for now.)
