TQ and on one hand, that is an option but as it is, its also helpful to reply for that is the way forward to let it be known without fear of sharing but hopeful it might help. It was NAP to respond

It gave us all a chance to know there are those out there feeling desperate and hopeless and yet, YOU all are not alone and posting or reaching out is a source of hope ... members can have a 2nd opinion too in the hope of helping with advise... thats the way forward.

Yes, Mike, there is more to it apparently than meets the eye with what or how the Marsdens have thought out when they charted either the GW plan or whatever... time must have been their only last source of hope too and it wasn't enough for a getaway...

Malaysia was large but not safe after all for their choice of a haven....

We wait nonetheless for the truth to unravel someday for some healing and/or closure.

I have today, received a follow-up mail from the gentleman that was earlier referred on this thread (Post# 1159) regarding his request for a copy that can appear or reflect the layout of a PIPs Account etc...

Here below is the extract of that mail he sent and I must advise, if you feel you want to or can assist his request, you may PM me or copy-paste as a screenshot of yours and add it in your PM or paste it within your post to this Forum thread.

I have replied awhile ago and offering my change of view and proposed to do in lending a hand so someone who can is able to help too. After reading this thread, U R free as you wish in taking the initiative to do so.

I cannot for my part, as I have completely shred all links, records and traces of involvement with the PIPs set-up soon after Bryan Marsden was officially arrested by the Malaysian Authorities.

Anyone who considers this as a new turn with developments, well, it sure was for me and it truly took me by surprise 2B honest and now, with a correct explanation from him, I accept his reason to seek a copy for good use. However, YOU need to decide for your understanding in responding and you may want or feel urged to react positively as well but please, no foul mouthing by anyone who regards it otherwise... we can do without and instead, try understand in helping out if you will.

I am not trying to defraud anyone or anything. I was simply asking for a screen shot (or similar) of a PIPS account as all of ours were posted when we used to be able to log in to the site.

I have all my contribution confirmations for MY account and have used them for my taxes, so I don't need any other documentation whatsoever. I was simply asking for a screen shot of a PIPS posted account to show what they looked like... that's all. I am not cheating anyone or any entity whatsoever, in fact, my investment loss in PIPS was already allowed as a write off as a total loss. I was simply interested in seeing a "posted PIPS" account statement.

If you don't have one, or don't wish to send one, that's fine, and I respect your decision either way.

I mailed him to look out in here and see what I'll post to help out the least I can in respect to his request as oppose to my earlier aprehension on his motives.

Yes but also, it is never and as always, this is a donation fund drive too and with that in mind, you will and should have noticed, we are still maintaining our very best NEVER to enforce nor remind with a heavy hand or word sent across that "one MUST donate"... On the contrary, as it is & remains, a donation funding but we have to stay realistic and pragmatic with the times as always.

Its like you going to the Supermarket for your routine "gross" shopping on groceries and on whatever you buy, which is actually patronizing that chain among many competing out there for your custom. You sure won't be sending a letter or calling them on the phone to say, you just spend a BOMB with buck$ shopping last week or last year and that they had the cheek to charge you all over again when you next need to replenish your pantry with the shopping cart & pickup up the foods inside???

Same goes with the Funding only, we want you to understand, Batty's trip, planning, considerations on his private commitments, his time away, his role on our behalf, hotel andflight lookouts to reservations andpayment in advance on such arrangements etc, all has or are inter related and on an 11th hour planning or mailing out asking for collection for donations to fund another trip etc.... just doesn't work that way for us to manage successfully. We have come a long way since the start and we are carefully improving our approach for an effective funding.

There is this other concern regarding systematically weaning out the undesirables that never seem to give up trying to penetrate our membership which includes your faithful support, to disrupt one way or the other with a cheap stunt... which we once offered out of good faith (that is a shambles and will not be allowed to be repeated again) which is why, it costs to maintain this secure and satisfactory implementation thus far and we are glad ridding quite a few from the last straw at those darn no-gooders in trying to get ROLClub banned with ISP and servers around the globe which almost succeeded!!!

No more of that nice-nice treatment and almost FREE for all to destroy our Forum's existence with a foolish and naive Funding system on the trial coverage.

Yes, we sincerely do need, which is no big secret, to expect from anyone, who is genuinely prepared and ready to help donate and commit to see our coverage gets sustained for as long as it takes until the truth and mystery on the missing millions are fully traceable & recovered from the Marsdens through the Malaysian Courts.

Your best way to see, observe and understand is take some good time visiting the Sticky thread that shows the Group Funding and see how many and often, members are donating to make sure we can sustain the trial coverage.

It is up to you to decide and we force no one on this as it is voluntary as always.

I hope you understand the perspective now on the nature of our situation as a whole... this Funding drive is not a supermarket chain and neither can it last on fresh air or just on well wishes either.... worst still, we are not a NGO... just a Forum trying to help out our members with a common affinity.

If you have been out of the loop for sometime, U R advised to heed & adhere seriously on the criteria recommended in the HDG sticky thread to be eligible again. Some have deliberately tried to "think" by applying one or the other and leaving out the other equally essential criteria and thought, I'll take that chance, what the heck... !

The Admins are so busy, they won't notice and besides, they need the money or, lucky for them, if I just donate a few buck$$s only, they should actually thank me for eternity!!!

Well, we thank them for the donations, add their amount onto the list and if they fall short altogether from the recommended amount as a non HDGer, no acceptance is granted to qualify for being in the HDG list can be expected awhich means, no updates by email and no more wasting correspondence time explaining, like as if we are begging for their donations.

We simply, move on and that person has to smack him/herself trying to outsmart us with a silly attempt, this we notice coming usually from those suspected in trying to stay pranky & fooling around with us on this unfortunate involvement with BM and his PI Inc Investment saga!

Its just too much and NOT worth trying to explain more sense into them about what they simply should have adhered like most HDGers had without any difficulty or hesitation heeding easily.

and understand what you have since missed out and if you wish to be updated, esp and only by email, read and adhere the criteria stated therein and you can also become a supporting HDGer on the list, and no one else gets to receive nor read it on all the trial coverage since October 2008.

Received a message from HDGer: I got a message today! trial put off till August? He would have done enought time already if guilty

Now, that crossed my mind too some time back esp. after remmission is applied and from good behavior of course.
3 years and 3 months is the outcome should 5 years as maximum be handed down.

The fact of the matter remains, the difference between "custody" or detention if you will and that of "sentence"... which has not been passed as yet. A big difference it is.

Well, what do you guys all think about their chances of release... ??? It's about 3 years now since they were detained.

Discussion can be done in here... but NO POSTING of extracts or copy-pasting any sections from the trial coverage... that is not allowed!

So, shoot your spills on what you think? Will Bryan Marsden and his wife be released soon?

I know my answer... but what do you guys think?

How do you base your knowledge with your own judicial system in granting the penalty and release schedule as oppose to Malaysian Law?

I personally think it will depend on how many Malaysian's were scammed and who will come forward or be called as witnesses against Marsden's. If there were no locals who lost money, then I would say he would probably be released given scammers or money laundering charges are not considered as bad as murder or armed robbery, even though a felony in most countries, I can think of many who got out in a few years for similar convictions.

What amazes me is that a trial would take this long? This is unheard of in my research, so in most courts, they would have thrown out charges since due process was not met. I don't know Malaysian law, but this would not be allowed in other legal systems, due process is assured, and if a trial date was not set within a reasonable time, unless requested by defendents lawyer, the case would have been thrown out and defendent released. As I understand it, Marsden's had lawyer assigned by judge for he could not afford one, so this lawyer was either asking for extentions or the due process does no apply in Malaysia?

Simply put, we just don't know all the details of case, other than charges of money laundering. If no locals filed charges as victims, I would suspect they would have moved things along more quickly than this. Then again, if they wait long enough, most who lost money will give up and doubtfully appear as a witnesses against Marsden's, so this keeps case hidden from public view whereby gov. can keep all the funds seized, so I suspect it is more about money than justice after what I have seen to date.
