I have just spoken to Batty. He faces very acute shortage of funds concerning the expenses needed to cover the coming trial and beyond. The current status is just about adequate and yet, truly insufficient to regard it as enough after this coming trip which is to take place as of tomorrow afternoon, local time in Malaysia.

Batty faces his own share of domestic fears and financial problems that most may consider, isn't or has anything to do with the Funds (as donations received) collected to accommodate the Trial coverage on the Marsdens.

His commitment therefore is solely that of a personal participation at no "surcharge" to us all following or wanting to stay abreast with news and coverage that he embarks on our behalf. We pay what we have and can afford from donations received.

Going out of his way, personally and from private commitments is a burden and one that is enduring his side with the family that depends on him very much.
He can just about squeeze both the time and his personal costs to break even... but that was already over at the last trip which again went futile with a postponement or was it a deferment of the trial date... whatever, lets hope this Thursday is now the one we have all been waiting for... it appears much so, I strongly hope too.

The Fund is at the very last depleted stand as I post this announcement, and prior to this, I added another $24-plus from my own personal donation, to the current amount to round it up to $75 for the transfer to Batty.

There is nothing left in the Fund after conversion of the Pounds and Aussie dollars and the LR donation received.

We have also decided, after careful consideration, a painful and unpopular decision has to be made. Putting all reasons one may have or whatever one is currently living through... we have to succumb, or rather, Batty has to succumb to the financial disparity he now faces with this trip based on the funds he and us all supporting donors had to make do. On a scale of 10, Batty is now making this trip with close to 8 rather than be at 10 and based at that too, thats the last straw we all face after he returns from the only affordable 2-day lodging he has to and can afford to due to the available amount it now offers.

We have decided, as it now appears, the future of securing funds for this sole purpose is as bad as the American economy... no optimistic Prospects for anyone in relying this exclusive & low budget source for information.

We shall then adopt this new alternative, there is little choice for us left.

The news that is gathered by Batty, will be made available to "ALL" those who had donated, albeit once only, since we started the Fund drive to those who continued their hardship in seeing that funds continued through repeated donations.

Only you know WHO can and truly cannot afford... but we are not lawmakers here, so, we shall see & view everyone equal... we shall not impose judgement esp. on those who claim that they cannot afford to donate.

When the news is made available, it will be emailed to those who had donated.

If you want to share the information with those you know who actually can afford but stood clear way from supporting us or with your help as well to be part of it, then it is your conscience whether you be willing to divulge or share the information with them.

I would share myself.... but only with those that I know truly cannot afford it. Anyone who has since Bryan Marsden was detained and still surf the Net to this day, chatting on forums, have a whale of a party time with speculations, investments games, tune in to Youtube clips and music and what have you with their computer, has a hand or cellphone phone, has and can afford to go online, perhaps has more than one terminal, router and more computers running 10 - 24 hours continuously and say, they are as poor as a Mexican church rat... I won't share it with them at all!!!

But you decide, you will be helping those to mock us with a false misery and picture they want us to believe with not affording even a basic $2,50 donation. Your best advise to those wanting to have it for FREE is: Make a donation to help and then you deserve to be helped too with the given news retrieved though real sacrifices they seem to overlook that Batty is going through.

Hence, its hard for Batty now, he's the reality on our behalf. If anyone doesn't share that, its like shooting the messenger's feet and still expect the news to be delivered... well, that may be something in the days of Marco Polo... we are not of those times unfortunately.

As Yogi has put it, the shortage of funds concerning the expenses needed to cover the coming trial and beyond has led us to this option. We have no choice, though there may be the truly needy, we have no way of knowing. But what we know is that if the funds continue to decline, it would make my job more difficult.

It's not fun and games for me every time I have to make a trip and my family also go out of their way to make adjustment for me. I may/have incur losses to my income each time I am away. But all I ask is to be provided safe passage there and a decent place to stay. With the current balance it will be hardly enough to meet what I ask for. Still, I have resolve to go and play my part. I hope you play your part too.

Again, I would like to thank all the donors past and present. It is because of you, we are able to get 1st hand news on what's happening.

The Trial has Begun!!!

After several false starts and 2 years of waiting, it HAS started.

Summary: Prosecution calling 5 witnesses, 2 have testified so far. Tendering evidence now resuming on a very monotonous pace but it promises attentive highlights we can now anticipate......

We are delighted at this eventual outcome... all your support & donations made it possible to see this day bearing fruits!!! We almost were on the brink...and still is as a matter of fact with the Funds and what materializes after this 1st actual trial attendance in court is left to anyone's next good guess!!!

As mentioned earlier, unless you wish to receive 1st hand email feedback, the news will be released to supporters who have donated.

We are still in need of donations... and one can confidently assume, this trial is going to last awhile after today and if the next flow of donations doesn't exceed anywhere around $750 at its minimum.... esp. if a flurry of new donations start streaming in at only just $2,50 per person and we have no more than 100 Donors only... we are not anywhere close to our target!!!

Every new development remains flexible too... subject to today and the coming days events, if anyone started donating only $2,50, (esp. new names of donors just so in qualifying for the feedback), that will be reviewed as well... we need to reach the minimum of this amount $750 or receive at least 300 donations in the coming days... not over a stretch like the next 12 to 18 months to achieve it....

The subtlety is over now... the reality has been present as always and its unpleasant to beg nor plead when its very much unnecessary to do so...
