Yes, the Police will act on behalf of the National Bank but that's not the real relevance on most Pipster's lips, the conducting and execution of the raid is.... and with the directive coming from the main Bank is all that matters for the moment. Remember, different countries conduct differently when raiding under authorisation, in Malaysia, there's no difference so long as the Law is upheld by the rules when conducting one and with regards to cellphones, only those that are issued and subscriptions belong to the PI Inc administration, private phones are NOT affected.

well Tarzan in Jungle
well Tarzancio is in Jungle ;
hello lawyer there is a organisation called the central Bank in every country in which the overall Economy is handed over under its regulation., this bank can take charge when ;
their economy is in doubt;
when something that crosses their frontiers cause a serious international issue to them;
when they find something guilty going on in their country and when banking practices are contravened.,
for instance a central bank controls the interest rates that are to be governed and only that percentage of interest should be granted to the investors.
if this is violated ; say now malaysians are investing this simply contravenes their national savings and deposit structures; b'coz their interest rates are low when compared with their banking and other financial institutions.
so as to hamper the inward inflation that may arise in a large scale due to hyper interest patterns..(you have to go through inflation and economy) then the country in its own initiative as they are the controller of banking practices and finances in the country through their special wing can make a control over the trading practices that contravenes the country issued banking controls.
Now they seek to know about the payments and how such a payment is possible by a private organisation seated with offshore belt.
when they move massive funds from another zone where they do not conduct their actual business .. say malaysia is just a tress-pass territory for pips ., then they feel like being used causing havoc to their international repute without having much gain from letting an offshore organisation doing better business giving resources and employment for their people.
so do understand why an offshore organisation is allowed to open their branches inside another country;
To evade taxes is a bump arguement b'coz the country when letting a foreign firm just lays conditions for enhancement of its own citizens and is its target and that thing through employment and such others ., no country will allow inflation to flow through them hampering their bankers.
This is the target they are laying on pips.
personal :
No personal phones can be seized as the investigations were going on they (investigators)wont allow other people to communicate as they might loose some evidences or may lack information due to the message being convened .,this is simply as comparable as a Income Tax raid .
evasion of taxes have the samething .,they just want to clarify and open the books of pips and their trading ambience .,in the sense they have to make a check on the trades and hamper the growth without being highly beneficial to malaysian government.
so when they clarify and then will warn pips not to open their investments for malaysian citizen and not to trade to give this much of private profits., not only pips all the organisations online offering investments were hampered ., the base reason is USA FEARING THEIR USD FALL and MONEY LAUNDERING AS FEARED BY MANY COUNTRIES.
E-CURRENCIES ARE HAMPERED ALIKE ., SO THEY JUST NEED THE SOURCE OF FUNDS AND NOTHING MATTERS WHEN THEY ARE REVEALED., POOLING OF FUNDS IS BANNED AS U ALL KNOW .,
so pool all the ambiences around the globe and think over and you will find the reason., just don't think this as a malaysian issue.
And lawyer u have to go through banking laws and international banking well. at least malaysian banks follow the same procedure as meant they have the right to investigate and these when meant for national safety then no such measures as fit for common ambiences will., they had it done legally and not a silly encroachment.
hope u understood clearly.
ever friendly

WHAT A BUNCH OF LIES !!!
NO BANKS HAVE THE AUTHORITY TO SIEZE ANY COMPANIES EQUIPMENT.
ONLY THE GOV'T AUTHORITY CAN DO THAT. AND THAT IS HIGHLY UNLIKELY BECAUSE BRYAN HAS COVERED THAT BASE.

Still something doesn't make sense to me. PIPS is based IN Panama and not in Malaysia, thus Malaysia has no jurisdiction at all over PIPS, PIC Trust and some other co's except of Picpay which is based in Malaysia.
Inflation?? From what?? If a central bank would use this argument this is total BS! 3-5 Trillion(!!) Dollars are traded every single day on currencies markets. With PIPS paying out a few hundred millions each month is really a drop in a bucket. The ONLY reason which is quite obvious - and this is surely not money laundering!, another futile and lame argument - is the high yield offered. The powers to be just fear that way too many normal (and poor) people could become quite rich in a very short time. Becoming rich means becoming independent from the slave system we all live in. And everything has been /and is beeing done to prevent this. Plain and simple. This is no conspiracy - yet another lame argument - but hard reality, this has happened so many times in the past with lots of legitimate companies.

i agree, the arguement over the huge amounts being made, that the govt like to keep a secret on to stop those who are in the know how from making.
other than that dude, I hear ya, and right with ya on the same sentitment... ;)
