OICU812 is quite right in his assessment!

What he is saying, and I agree with him that PIPS was a high risk investment. In my opinion PIPS was an extremely high risk investment, something I EXPRESSED at the original PIPS forum, ...and funny enough I had all the cheerleaders jumping on me.

Now what OICU812 is FURTHER arguing; the funds in picpay were not in the play (PIPS investment) as they were the members money, deposits (like a bank account), and those money shound still be there. Which I highly doubt!

My view of the Available Funds in PIPS, they should be treated equally to the picpay funds, but it is hard to tell what a court would conclude!

If the members funds in picpay is not available to its owners, then PIPS will definately be a saga!...and the owners, including management will most likely be procecuted.
The loss in PIPS is though luck, a high risk investment that nobody can be blamed for, unless there were no substance in the promised investment portfolio that PIPS management told us. In that case, the same story as with picpay!...and most likely that will result in procecution of the management.

Again, my guess is "it depends on which jurisdiction" PIPS and picpay are legally registered, and to what extent the Malaysian laws deals with these issues!

Yep (or yup) regarding AF.

But who ends up with the funds? BoN or BM or Us-ins?

Content would suggest we get the initial loan back but I will side with the majority!

Although I will agree that PicPay was legally a separate entity, it was still a direct subsidiary of PI. As such, it would have been frozen along with PI, or at least severely affected. That doesn't mean the money that was in PicPay is gone but it would make it inaccessible until the "big thaw" that hopefully will be soon.
