In regards to the Cambodian Bank (missing money) issue....
Arcturus, you stated that it was a significant amount in your post #740.
1.) How much was this "significant amount"?
2.) What was this "significant amount" designated for?
In reference to post #732, Bryan had already stated that the bank had
been purchased and that Management as well as Staff had been hired.
What was left?
Is the "significant amount" that everyone is concerned about for the
bank license then?Hesitatenot

steal ( P ) Pronunciation Key (stl)
v. stole, (stl) sto·len, (stln) steal·ing, steals
v. tr.
- To take (the property of another) without right or permission.
- To get or effect surreptitiously or artfully: steal a kiss; stole the ball from an opponent.
- To move, carry, or place surreptitiously.
- To draw attention unexpectedly in (an entertainment), especially by being the outstanding performer: The magician's assistant stole the show with her comic antics.
- Baseball. To advance safely to (another base) during the delivery of a pitch, without the aid of a base hit, walk, passed ball, or wild pitch.
Now I am pretty sure that I "lended" Mr. Bryan my money... Maybe Gary, Warren, and others "stole" our money.. That would be the fitting utilization of your comment as highlighted above.
Disclaimer: However, the preceding comments are meant in an explanative way. This was to illustrate an example of what may have occurred. Any mention to people with similar names, is purely coincidental..

ROFLMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Taxman, you are too much.
Someone clean these walls.
Hesitatenot: I am going to answer you, but I need to choose my words carefully so as not to confuse anyone.....Let's see.....
The number we were given had at least 2 commas in it, as I recall (but, then, we're all getting long in the tooth.....), and that post you refer to was a forward looking post, based on information he was given (by.....?????), which turned out to be inaccurate. We never got the licensing, and the monies (again, as I recall) were to set up the initial Pips account (s??) so we would have our own stomping grounds for funds and such.
Someone feel free to correct me if I am wrong....I'm doing this from memory.
Doesn't change the fact that SOMEONE who was given the task of completing this effort DID NOT, and the $$$$ are unaccounted for.

Hya Largo.
In your response to deandg, waaay back on page 149! already, you mentioned that the police are not involved in the investigation. Agree very much with what you say here. BUT…. Can we be sure the police are not involved?
If there is any basis for the events and behavior of certain individuals that has been alluded to here recently, then I am sure Bank Negara is also aware of it. I am sure BNM would have been aware of it from the start.
Consider what Michaelr brought up the other day about the “Monumental row” between
Bryan and Gary Nicol at the bistro AND… also that Forensic accountant had been called in……BEFORE the start of the official investigation.
Lets dwell on this for a brief moment because I think it’s significant: Bryan obviously came to realize that there has been fowl play going on behind his back. To be certain he calls in experts – His worst fears are confirmed – He confronts GN at the Bistro and a row ensues. Then the investigation begins.
Would the police be involved? Personally I think so and more than just the Malaysian police because I believe the investigation is actually one of a criminal nature that extends beyond the borders of Malaysia.
I believe this is why the investigation is taking so long and with no information being released…Yet!

had been "purchased", as in a done deal.
Are you also saying that he made this announcement based upon information
that he received from someone else and that the information was inaccurate?
I find it a little hard to swallow that Bryan would make such an announcement
at the Hawaiian Convention without first verifying the accuracy. Especially since everyone was on the edge of their seats hoping for good news, in regards to the withdrawal situation.Hesitatenot

Then the investigation begins: Or was it pushed forward as plan B in the light of the 'Monumental Rows' that were taking place, after all, they say that the best method of defense is attack.
As far as the Police being involved Chester, I would think that the BN findings have to be presented before actions by the Police can be taken.Last edited by guest1; 06-06-2006 at 07:56 PM.
