Very good points, Michael. Valid, and we will be discussing them as part of this thread. Glad you are aboard.
The ongoing belief is that 2% is impossible to sustain, and thus Pips was doomed from the start. Not so, if one would just do some research (as you obviously have). You only need AVERAGE 2% or more, daily bumps notwithstanding.
Thanks for setting me straight, Michael

However, the original rates were as follows:
Prior to June 23, 2005 each unit calculated at $ 0.475 each
So each unit would have created another unit after 52.631578 days
After June 22, 2005 each unit calculated at $ 0.4625 each
So each until would have created another unit after 54.054054 days
Keep in mind the reduction in ROL was to allow for expansion of employee's....
Keep the questions coming, more math please...

We'll use 125. Fed's always have days off each month.
Ok, so I start with 25 units day 1. On day 54 I have 2. On day 108 I have 4 units. I lose a unit on day 125 (trading days, remember) so I have 3, plus a couple more coming in 37 days or so. So this is how it grows.
Let's move to $$$. What is my MAXIMUM return on a daily basis? (Per $100. Let's keep the math simple)

Taxman has done the math correct, Mia. We are basing this on USD, Dow/NASDAQ schedule
Thanks for clearing that up for the masses. Keep us on our toes

Almost the weekend for me...........I'll make this simple
$2 (per $100) That's what I can make, and the most I can take. But in order for me to maximize my return, I have to be at 0% (reloan). What happens to my account if I'm at -0-?
-AND-
How long will it take for me to be at the gratis 6 units per month?

ROL per unit divided by value of unit.. So, here we go again...
.4625 divided by 25 = .0185 so.... 1.85% daily...
Which is the maximum you can request to have withdrawn before fee's... So, if you have an account value of $10,000, the maximum you could request out per day is $185.
I won't get into the unit growth/expiration parts... You said keep it simple...

I'm sure, at this point, Taxman will jump in and say "No. It's more like $1.89, since we have fees, etc." I'll leave that to him. Gotta let him play with his toys, afterall.
