I haven't posted for a long while but I do have a question. I remember several times people asking if PicPay was backed by gold in Australia and to my recollection I don't ever remember getting an answer to that question. Could some of this supposed missing money have been secretly invested into that Gold? Is Pips sitting with gold bars that are inacessable at the moment but still an asset to the company that no one knows about but BM? Just a thought!

If this is so, then it's value has grown around 50% since the investigation started. However, short of confirmation this is just speculation but it would go a long way to explaining why so many are sticking around for "no money". Greed for gold is as old as time...

I remember that run and the members started to panic They withdrew out of AF … they the members put their ROI on a 100% withdrawal and into PicPay and then requested a withdrawal … This was in response to WW post and IB email to his members … Get it out and get it out now ..

There must have been millions of dollars withdrawn in a few days .. after a while people calmed down and some members even canceled their withdrawals and put it back into their Pips account again. They seen through this run and trusted Bryan … But what WW and IB done to create this … only one can surmise the reason …

Now can you see why this was posted out to the mass members.. To create confusion and dollar loss … to collapse or even COVER UP

How do you know that the advice wasn't posted out in good faith? Transferring money to PicPay would have increased our chances to get some of our money in case something would happen to PIPS.

Regarding the collapse of PIPS because of that advice, do you think that Bryan jumped in (or intended to) to transfer the millions of $ withdrawal requests so he can pay us? Did Bryan showed any panic at the thought that at that time, there were millions $ pending withdrawals?

He always rejected any advices surrounding the withdrawals (as to limit the number and $ amount of withdrawals), this showing either that he didn't intend to pay the withdrawals (this is where PIPS restructuring comes in), either that he was very confident that he will handle the withdrawals, regardless of their astonishing amount.

There were a lot of rumors going out at that time, some not so optimstic. It seems that NB representatives told to a delegation of PIPS members in UK that the money left are in the range of hundreds of thousands $ (if I remember well, under half of million).

My head hurts. Too much information at one time. Too much to say.....

I'll address the "run" first. Take Bank A. Bank A holds X in cash. It amounts to no where near assets in total. If you want to withdraw or transfer Y in cash, and it exceeds X, then you have to wait until the bank holds sufficient liquidity, plus mandated reserves. Part of the problem, as well as the solution long term, is that I don't believe we were liquid to the point of being able to weather storms. Now, this is just my opinion, but when the merchant $$$'s turned up missing, the Cambodian bank money went AWOL, and WD requests spiked, I don't think there was anywhere near the liquidity to weather the storm. We were not a bank. We could not liquidate quickly enough.

Gold: All indications and information is that there were/are gold reserves. Considering I am not the broker, I don't know what the present value is, or if they have been liquidated.

Taxman and I calculated that the amount of funds "on hand" as quoted by the consultants at the end, as well as in 'communications' in the early days of the investigation, amounted to roughly 1 week of incoming funds from members, plus some operating cash. A prudent investor (or even an amateur) would NOT keep large amounts of funds in Malaysia: The system is not sophisticated enough to generate any type of realistic opportunity (sorry, Malaysia. You'll catch up soon, but not yet!)

There were additional "warnings" about Pips. I got a couple emails saying for the most part if I didn't transfer to PicPay, I could never prove my money/value, and I would never see it. Several email warnings went out in PipsUSA, Aussie, and other forums. I received several different types, some in German, Dutch and Norwegian (which I cannot comprehend - almost as bad as Svaria, eh Largo???!!!) There were some who maintained up into January that PicPay was actually "our" money and could not be held by any authority, blah, blah.....

And finally (for tonight) Michaelr, YES there were a few who could pull this off. We in the financial world understand how, and have contacts that could do this........Pips is a pretty big carrot to hold out. Money makes people do some strange things.....

Hi, I'm just wondering why the thread was created, this is the same information
that came out before and after Black August 2005. Are we going to see some
new revelation about what happen? At this point to rehash all this is useless
unless funds that are due to each and everyone is about to be paid out.
In my view then maybe this would be useful.

We all have our own opinions about what happen but that is just that our
opinions and speculation. At this junction it no longer matters what happen
almost a year ago. The only thing I can see, is there a solution to this issue?
Everyone is dancing around this like its all new, news and coming forward for
the first time. Tell us something that we don't know like when will everyone
get there funds out of the program.

Well…if only money… or even greed… had been the case this would be more easy to understand…but the efforts to bring Pips DOWN imo , is TOO many, TOO frequent and as it also is to large degree, directed towards BRYAN PERSONALLY, I think there is more to this than the actual GREED of just wanting to do an overtake of Pips…

A very possible scenario IMHO would be this:

BEFORE Pure Investor was even started or maybe even BECAUSE of this,
SOMEONE very close to Bryan felt very much offended, overstepped or even felt betrayed about some issues…

Then the FACT that Bryan’s VISION was to “help the little guy” to be able to live a more decent life COULD be the igniting factor…BECAUSE this had never been done before…
Many would think that BM now was jeopardizing the VERY FUTURE of all the investment, by his OUT OF THE BOX thinking…

IF there is a PERSONAL AGENDA aginst Bryan at the bottom of this…
THEN it would be quite easy at THIS TIME to sway others of the members into the belief that BM was risking everything…

NOW WHAT TO DO…?

Some planning had to be done…

As PIPS was a total success and brought in A LOT of members all the time…this would of course NOT please an antagonist to Bryan…

This IS a much possible scenario IMO…I base this on the observations of ALL what has happened to Pips and Bryan in the terms of BAD LUCK..it’s just TOO MUCH of it…

It’s more likely something very PERSONAL…as:
“I’ll bring this BASTARD DOWN…NO MATTER WHAT IT TAKES…”attitude..
This underlying CAUSE for all what has happened described as above…
Gives one the Common Denominator explaining ALL the “Bad Luck”…EVEN what is CONTINUING to happen…the PROBLEMS with the HaLotto Launch…just to give ONE example…
