At this point we really don't know anymore than we did when these posts first appeared. Was this letter the one which brought the whole deal down? Certainly, with no one I know who was able to dig up any facts, surely someone must know who really turned out to be the insiders who brought the charges against deal. It sure sounds like insiders were feeding someone, but who were they?

just a point i feel i need to make here....i can't understand how some of u people are condemning or demeaning warren for his lack of so called professionalism as stated by mezzy in his post #951,yet we can't get Bryan to come answer a few questions or report in every once in a while....like once a month even...i never met either one....but to listen to u people bash one guy....then put another up there on a pedestal is amusing....as far as i'm concerned,they both lack professionalism.....this thread started 4-11-06....today is 5-11 06....and we r no closer to the truth or what some believe to b the truth then when we started...intersting thread....but not the answers i was looking for....i can bet u when this thread is all said and done,u still going to have the same amount of people for and against as when started....this thread is very interesting...but it has'nt proved anything one way or the other....IMHO....Pat

A fair point I suppose Pat, however, I think they are two different situations do you not? Bryan was posting on the HALotto forum very frequently, keeping members updated until the server change. He has a new programme in the lotto and I suppose he would surmise anyone wishing to see him post they could do so there! He couldn't comment on the Pips situation because he isn't permitted to, so why would he need to?

Re WW, obviously you are not aware of the posts by him in another forum. If you were, you would not condone any of his writing and the majority of members there don't. I didn't use the words lack of professionalism, please don't infer that I did!

The way this particular sum of $450,000 has been taken out of context and deliberately misrepresented is typical of the way that the truth has been distorted in other forums and publications.

FACT. Gary Nichol went to the US only three - four weeks before he left in order to place funds into trade(s) hoping to place a minimum of $10 million.

FACT. When he returned he reported that he was only able to place $450,000. ERGO, there was AT LEAST $9 million UNPLACED and presumably still existing as it must have been available as cleared funds for his use.

That indicated to me that GN/Pips had a credibility problem and the funds were not being accepted for whatever reason. After all $450,000 is the sort of sum that someone might have accepted to "top up" a trade as part of a group investment.

A small part of the story but one which might be significant.

It raises the question of whether Gary felt that he was no longer able to do his job of placing the companies funds into trades.

More importantly were larger sums from previous trades locked and unreleased because of the non-compliance issues? Are they still frozen pending the outcome of the BN investigation?

I am sure that a lot of members have left envelopes containing pin numbers and pass codes in envelopes to be opened "only in the event of......." so why should Bryan do it any differently?

Michaelr: Do not take my words out of context. I am referring to the claim by -those- who say there was ONLY $450,000. I know very well that there was more, as do most others......... The point I was making was one in sarcasm. I apologize for the confusion.

And you forgot another "fact". GN also stated (after this event) that he really didn't know many details about [such] things. This was reported on PipsUSA in a Q&A with IB. Something isn't right here. They both can't be true. My point is in the conflicting information and the gleaning on of facts twisted to suit a need, as was pointed out by Azmia.

Now, to answer some others: I do not want, nor do I willingly, blame or hold harmless anyone in this little charade. Were mistakes made? Yes. I've said it before. BUT, it is important to acknowledge that BM IS still standing up for Pips and members. Does that give him pedestal status? No. Does that make him worthy of praise? Not necessarily, but it is a mark of courage (in my book).

Perhaps I took a little creative license here.... I seem to recall both BM and GN stating that the "formula" was in his head. If he posted/said elsewhere something different, I apologize. I will amend my question. Why would someone claim to have no knowledge of "the details" if they actually did or acted upon them?

Your observation, Michaelr is a good one. I, too, would like to know the reason GN left. I recall seeing both "health" and "personal". It is also very telling that many "former insiders" are busy shooting at BM and he hasn't said a word. What does that say about character?

PS. Bigopie: I use unprofessional and will continue to do so. A professional does not act in such a manner, especially one of the status he claims to be. And he is not the only one.....

Another subject to add, while some are shooting WW and GN... One overlooked point was also the consultant that was in Cambodia prepping the paperwork for the new bank..

Now he has gone missing, and was he paid 45,000? Or did it accidentally get another zero at the end? Seems this also was another case of $450,000 that went out..

The gentleman's name escapes me, but I know many eyes have the details...
