Thread: We have a DDOS Attack

Once again, it's now our turn to be DDOS'sed! The site has been down for 6 hours, but we are trying to keep it up,
but these guys are persistant.The site may be a bit slow for a while as the server is getting battered with
thousands of hits per second. Everything is safe though, your data, information
etc, we just need to sit it out and wait for it to subside.
We have no idea why this is happening but we apolgize for any inconvience this
may have caused and we hope everything can get back to normal ASAP.

Have a Ddos team as before working 24/7 on the case. This is the same team that last saved us from such a attack..
Now they have better tools to work with, so from i got to know about this attack to the site was back up again, it took more or less 1-2h....

If site goes down again, we will be back up as soon as we can.... Such attacks can take time to control. But win over it we always will!As i said, we are hear to stay. And we are Ddos protected. All we had to do was more or less activate the protection again, and have their team work on the case... :-)

it seems like all larger forums are under the same sort of Ddos attack also...

Well to todays downtime of our server which is/was attacked by DDOS, we now have under control!

But the funny thing is that, GFF started to mass spam in the same hours to our members (from stolen database by michael shah, when our site went down due to DDOS)about joining their forum.....

Who Ddos attacked us, you can all guess!! Exact same thing happened in Januay, when we were Ddos attacked, several emails were sent to our members to join their forum.. One thing is for sure. People who lives in glass homes, shouldn't through stones... We have all some sort of "Toys for Boy's" in our arsenal. That we do not use such illegal methods to bring down your host, should not be taken as our weakness. If we know how to keep our server running even with the continuing DDOS attack, then you can start considering our capabilities...

Could lag the server, but we are working on some stuff to handel it better.

On round 2 i can say this DDos attack has been much stronger, and consistent.If our team wasn't good, our site would totally not load. We are able to take even larger attack. Some settings are set this way that site will load slow, but we will get to ban, and use server resources on banning more attacking ips..

We dont know how long this would last. Could perhaps last days or more, but we are working on bringing up some very good routers and firewall.. That should help.

And for all to witness, it's now running at an excellent speed " Signed, Sealed & Delivered" for your security as well as for us from burgling intruders and to those that cannot see the difference in this sad and sick conduct (because you originate with the same village where GFF comes from), you shouldn't start rolling back to post or pick up more news from us... Stay at GFF instead!
