Dear members,

Welcome back to Rolclub on new servers. It has started to propogate/resolve to many members already, but some wont be able to see it until 24h. It takes time for some to see the new site. All depends on your local ip.

I must say i am very satisfied.
You can feel that the site is responsive.

Hi,I don't know if it is just today but there are many icons missing when posting. None of the fonts, colours, size italics underlining etc, etc are any longer on here. I have been unable to post today.

Also, as you can see, it is impossible to start new paragraphs. All the sentences run in a continuous stream. This has made it impossible for me to post any articles today.

Oh i am sorry to hear that. its just a server upgrade. This should not happen. thanks for letting me know. I am on to it...

Thank you admin. It is back to working now. However, there are all sorts of glitches when posting, which make it longer to post articles.

would you kindly explain what sort of glitches?

Hi,

When posting articles, I use the 'go advanced' icon mainly because of the instructions I set when posting articles rather than quick replys. This is bringing up a box that is different to the original one before the upgrade and the icons don't work in the same way and not as efficiently as before

For example when posting an article, I highlight and user a larger font for the title of the article. Before I could run my mouse over the title and click on the colour and size or font I wished to use in one go, and the instructions would change and show the changes. Now I have to click on the colour, then and it doesn't show the colour, just the instructions to do this (which works but doesn't show while posting). Then the entire article moves up to the title, so I have to set a new paragraph. Then for another instruction I have to rehighlight the title and set that instruction i.e. Bold. Again it sets the instruction but doesn't show you and again the article will move up to the title line and I have to set another new paragraph and if i want to do another instruction I have to go through the whole process again.

In short the articles are taking longer to post. All the icons appear to work in a time consuming way.

Yesterday I wanted to highlight different parts of an articles to show importance and it took quite sometime. Everytime I set bold and changed the colour I had to do the instructions individually and the articles kept pulling up the lines, so I have to reset paragrahps all the way through the article and again it doesn't show that it is done, just the instructions to do it.

Changing a colour used to stay on that colour until reset. Now it doesn't. So the colour icon has to be pulled down everytime a new word needs to be highlighted.

So it is difficult to know how it will appear until it is saved. And if not done properly has to be edited.

The 'source editor' icon doesn't appear to work at all.

To be honest it is time consuming and alot of faffing about.

There seems to be a bit of a problem getting the 'smilies' to work as well. As you can see I have managed in this message, but it wasn't easy.
I hope that makes sense.

An 'auto save' box keeps appearing while posting, I don't know if it works, but it upsets the posting, because the message sometimes freezes at the same time.

A box appears sometimes when saving a posting asking if "I'm sure I want to navigate away from the page or continue" - that messes with the message.

'Editing' a message appears to take ages to bring up and saving a message takes a while.

In short I just don't the think the posting box, which is different from the previous posting box works very well.

Sorry to bring this to your attention, but I don't think the icons work as well as before - and longterm I think it will put people off posting as it takes longer and you can't see how any of the changes you make look until the 'save' button is pushed and it appears on the page, or new thread.

Is it possible to have the old 'post box' back?

Unfortunately, I have had to cut back on posting significantly. Saving articles takes longer, I think the website freezes and overall this is still not efficient for posting translated arabic articles as well as all the other glitches.
