I agree - let's get back to the subject at hand.

With one or two exceptions, you're all pretty intelligent beings and most respect one another. This sight is very good for that. There are 3 other sites that pride themselves on name calling, bashing and outright filth.

Let's not fall into the ditch with those others.

DinarDarling, you are right about getting back to the subject, but human instict is to defend yourself, family and friends, I don't know about you, but if someone disrespects me, I can't just say thank you and look the other way, you are also right about this forum being great and not like the others but the reason for that is that we have been quick to act when someone starts bashing. you are not the one who was direspected, maybe thats why it's so easy to say what you said, but there are alot of us here who try to spread knowledge and information and to have someone not appreciate it and bash you is pretty juvenile.

Before I jump in with my 2 cents on this. Imo, the amount of the r/v is arbitrary , I think they can set it to $.80 just as easily as $1.80, I don't see any advantage in moving decimal places to reach the rate. Once the dinar is being traded it is going to go up and down anyway.

Right now say 1 usd buys 1476 iqd
shifting 3 decimal places gets

1 usd buys 1.46 iqd or it takes .68 iqd to buy 1 usd

so each dinar is worth less then one usd, because as you can see I trade in
1 usd and I get more than 1 iqd

But, like I said, it seems to me that they can value it at whatever they want, there is no rule that says they can only move decimals around. They can just say, guess what everybody

1 IQD = 2 USD or .5 USD = 1 IQD
