My initial and continuing motivation for speculating in dinars was and is two-
fold. First, I believe our investment will help bring our troops home faster
and provide part of the foundation for the launching of a prosperous economy in Iraq. That prosperous economy should raise significantly the
standard of living in Iraq mid-term and long-term. A byproduct of this prosperity is the freedom that we will have given the Iraqis - a freedom not enjoyed for at least 35 years.

Second, I obviously would like to make a profit on this speculation. With that profit I plan to make substantial charitable donations for the widows and
orphans that have been left as a result of our troops' sacrifices.

The last thing on my mind in entering into this transaction was to "...profit off the blood of our troops and innocent Iraqi women and children."

If my motivation were as you describe, I never would have participated. I
hope others of us feel the same way as I do.

If Dick wanted Dinar would have instructed Bremer to load him a suitcase of 25k's before Paul left. There would be no shopping in Iraq for Dinar, no how, no way, why stop at 750 million when trillions were available. I really like 850's post and no offense against him/her but this is as bad as the other rumors.

Not only is it a lie it is slander at it's lowest point. Your "associate" chooses to drag Cheney's good name into the ground just to bolster the general opinion of the IQD investment. You should call your "associate" and read him the riot act for this. It's bad enough we have the liberal media constantly bashing Cheney and Bush, now we have to put up with an immoral lie. Exactly. Soc doesn't even realize the magnitude or level of the implied scandal here. He's basically saying this war was started for profit (blood money) which goes against what all of use wanting success against terrorism stand for. This is horrible and shameful behaviour to repeat a lie from some "associate" to get people more hyped about the investment. The fact is this is a good investment and has already proven to be so. We do not need to stoop this low, people.

I was just told that the passing of the HCL is what is going to trigger the Dinar RV. The rate is back down to .90 euro as per IMF sources and documents. the source said this week was "highly likely" but wouldnt be suprised if it went into next week because of parliament shakeup. Still supposed to happen before end of year! I am expecting an update on the dong tonight around 1 am

I think you misunderstood my post. It was in response to someone stating that Dick Cheney bought 750 million Dinar. I was saying he ran the threat of the press spinning his windfall AS HIM profiting in this way. I don't think any of us who've invested in dinar are war profiteers. I'm editing my post so no one else misunderstands me. I hope this clarifies this for you.

Why are you bashing someone for something they heard and passed along? You have no idea if it is true anymore than the rest of us. But to call someone that you know nothing about a liar, you might have just crossed the line that is the point of no return.
