Thanks Neno for the info...it's seems at times like we are treading water awaiting that slow moving dinar boat to arrive a rescue us...every speck on the horizon holds such promise and bring a cheer to us in the waters of doubt and , ever so saddly, more times than not, that speck was not a rescue but rather it turns out to have been one of the sharks that have been circling us...

Sorry long wait without any confirmations from Parliament who seemed to spend all day yesterday trying to find a way to take a new vacation...

"...Today's parliament session witnessed a controversy between al-Mashhadani and legislator Qasem Dawoud, of the Iraqi National List, on the outcome of the blast investigation.
Qasem Dawoud also demanded to stop parliament's sessions till the end of the investigations, a demand rejected by legislators attending the session...."

On one hand we have all this good news and then, we are bashed over the head with the above reality...drives you crazy....

Sorry to vent!! I really do thank you and so far your info has been backed by documents that I can locate and that does support what you are saying...

But, it's hard to keep the patience of being within days but...wait...parliament is acting like they have all the time in the world...instead of literary hours to pull this all together...

I guess if it's all done like you said...I should just let it go and come back on Thursday to see it all announced...I know this. I was told once by someone that got into this from the beginning that it was fustrating to deal with news from this area as:

"...they will go into a meeting all agreed to do something...then they will get into an argument about the smallest of issues...they all blow up and vow that this will never get done...only to have a press conference the next day to say that they signed an agreement about this last week..."

I know listen to my own advise...Goodnight!

    Cool I agree fred.

Also see if you can find something on the Meeting Today in Kuwait with Maliki. I was also told that. I didn't report that all pass debts of the Sadam regime to Kuwait were wrote off today as well. So that will X Kuwait's Debt on the List. That is TODAY.

80% of debt to be forgiven...maybe...must be approved by their Parliament (this will be a hard nut) but, more importantly: they will upgrade the relationship:

    Iraq-Kuwait
Kuwait ready for raising diplomatic representation with Iraq
    Baghdad, Apr 24, (VOI) –

The Kuwaiti Prime Minister Sheikh Nasser al-Muhammad al-Ahmed al-Subah on Tuesday expressed his country's readiness to raise its a diplomatic representation with Iraq to the ambassadorial level.
    __________________________________________
The PM said that the Kuwaitis were asking to open a diplomatic mission and Eygpt said that the are naming a new Ambassador...probably by the conference...
    __________________________________________

Then I read this note posted by someone:

NOTE: This a very big step in normalization of relations between the two countries and bodes very well to raise the possibility for a shift (better a flood) of Kuwaiti investment into the country...especially in the Bashra Area...(it's just across the river that's why but, I assume that they will put a lot on money in the north too) IMO

Much of the Kuwait "Debt" is pretty Bogus. Every Tom, Dick and Ali over there was signing up for BS claim against Saddam just because they could..

The real problem (road block) will be that the Kuwaiti Parliament members are already setting up to fight this. I've already heard more than one say "Iraq's an oil rich country...they should be made to pay their debts"

In the end they will do a deal but, the critical factor for the Iraqis was for them to go into the conference debt free...it's embedded in all the wording and the Minister of Finance has made several comments as to the importance of this debt free status...all with just hours to spare...gonna be a close call...!!!

The demand to stop the parliament sessions was REJECTED by those parliamentarians attending.

If only we knew!!! I've heard anywhere between .o5 to 2.41!!!! HUGE difference!!! Only God knows, and He's not tellin!!!
Habakkuk 2:2-3 Then the LORD answered me and said: “ Write the vision And make it plain on tablets,
That he may run who reads it. 3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry.
