I think it's a reasonable question - do we allow people to say one thing and 3 days later say something different with no disregard for what they previously said?
So, why has he/she decided to go to Iraq even though the RV did not happen as thought (so far)?

A teacher was giving a lesson on the circulation of the blood. Trying to make the matter clearer, she said, "Now, class, if I stood on my head, the blood, as you know, would run into it, and I would turn red in the face... then why is it that while I am standing upright in the ordinary position the blood doesn't run into my feet?"
A little fellow shouted, "Cause your feet ain't empty."

Or that was Chris' (Mrs CK's) way of not saying what she really wanted to say.
The contractor clearly stated he would not go until a reval. Now he/she states their bags are packed and are heading out.
As with everything else concerning Iraq, read between the lines

It's VERY possible that MrsCk can not reveal all of the info she obtains from the CEO as it would jeopardize his business in Iraq. The CEO has decided to go to Iraq in order to get all of his ducks in a row prior to his contracts becoming active. MrsCK will provide whatever information she can, as she is allowed to disclose more of the information... Be patient.

One has to remember that it doesn't really matter if the CEO goes to Iraq or not as it will have no bearing on the outcome of this investment. With the continued delays in Iraq and no sign of normalcy returning to Iraq in terms of security, it could take a while before we realise our dreams. The Iraqi Parliament has just taken another month off as recess. Talk about perks!

A member of my family was supposed to go to Iraq last month on business and their trip was also postponed. When I questioned as to why, they said, I can't discuss it. Makes one go hmmmmmmm.
Every one has a photographic memory. Some just don't have film

To follow up on my post from a few days ago, I have since spoken to my business contacts and managed to extract some info from them. For obvious reasons, they were tight-lipped during the dinar conversation but here is what they had to say about the contracts. The business contracts to deal with rebuilding in the construction industry were signed within the last month and do have the dinar price listed in them. The dinar price was the current bank rate at the time of signing. They are expecting more deals in the future and are very confident that they will include the dinar price as well. According to them, contracts without a listed price are worthless. If a contract doesn't have a price listed, they are not worth the paper they were written on. Some of their aides are in Iraq presently and are working towards the completion of further contracts. They have no idea about the RV..and stared at me a bit weirdly when I mentioned RV as if to question my intentions. It's worth mentioning that a lot of contracts have been signed during the past few years without the need for a foreign investment or hydrocarbon law and it's unlikely to impede future contract negotiations. Based on the conversation I have had, I'm having trouble tallying the Aussie CEO's comments with my associates' comments. I shall refrain from voicing my opinions as I can only account for the information from my associates and it would be unwise to comment on someone else's take on happenings. I shall leave it for you folk to make your own conclusions. Good luck to you all on this journey, which on the face of it seems to be never-ending!

Be patient.... how long is patient? 1 month? 6 months? 2 years? Believe me, i'm patient but things just aren't getting done. Wish i was wrong and the big RV would happen tomorrow - you could all call me a jerk and i'd care less. As it is today, it won't happen tomorrow and you will still call me a jerk.
Anyhow, here's to being more patient...A teacher was giving a lesson on the circulation of the blood. Trying to make the matter clearer, she said, "Now, class, if I stood on my head, the blood, as you know, would run into it, and I would turn red in the face... then why is it that while I am standing upright in the ordinary position the blood doesn't run into my feet?"
