I know it's not acceptable to counter rumours considering they are "Only" a bit of fun as some would have us believe.

SGS, I respect the time and effort you put into your posts. You have been pilloried but you never backtrack from posting what you hear. Based on what has happened during the past year, how much faith do you have in what you hear? To put it bluntly, and I probably run the risk of being reprimanded, none of the sources have ever been right about anything. That isn't a track record to be proud of I am sure!

Like I said, I am not having a dig at you but would love to know why sources are never right!

It's not so much that the "sources are never right"....I feel it has more to do with delays (embargos) that occur. No one just waves a magic wand to make things happen....and it's Iraq, where memebers of parliament don't even show up to do their jobs. Then you've got the US that says "oh no, not until Bush gets his oil!!!" Embargos.....delays...... patience!

You know, I hate to wish away a weekend, but hopefully this one is short. Does anyone know if the US holiday on Monday will affect this at all?

My hubby went to Chase - Houston today and asked about Monday, President's day. They told him they would be open, normal hours, and said all the other Chase Banks in this area would be too.

Call your Chase and ask them...

Thank you SGS for the hope and excitement for the weekend. I work throughout the weekend but I follow R/C while there. There are a few people at work that have invested and they too like to hear of the rumors.

Just when everyone seemed to be getting down, SGS has come through with the lifting of spirits!

I do believe that we are all and it only takes one rumor to be true..... MAYBE this is the one.

We all know how the Iraqis operate. They spend more time holidaying than getting anything done. This is their mindset. However, if some source claims to know that this has happened, then you got to ask yourselves why the press and media haven't picked up on it. This is big news....for the millions of Iraqi citizens...certain sections of the media should be on it like a rash on speed.

Susie was kind enough to share, in the Rumor Section, her phone conversation of last evening. To that we are all VERY GRATEFUL! We all understand the nature of a Rumor and all of us here can handle it.

However, for lack of better things to do, I ventured over to the "Dark Side" to see what, if anything, they have to say about Susie's Rumor.

Talk about throwing Steaks to the Piranhas!!

It is quite a humorous thread, reading they way they rip and shred 'ol Secret Key for the "cut and paste", and then go on to rip and shred the RUMOR itself! A member named LongShot can't seem to get over the point a purported FACT is posted in the RUMOR section.... seems to be stuck on semantics.

There are a couple members with a clue, and it's fun just to read the banter.

Enjoy the rumors, folks, I know I do!
