The last M2 report I saw showed a reduction from approx 20 trillion in August 2006 to just over 14 trillion in November 2006. That's almost 6 trillion that is definitely gone from circulation. None of that includes the daily auctions since November, which the CBI did state they were reducing money supply. I don't know how much of the IQD bought through these auctions remain in the hands of the CBI, but they did state they were removing a substantial amount....So based on the M2 reports, I believe we can conservatively start at 5 trillion out of circulation.

thank you for your comments. It is always appreciated when someone does a little homework. Yes the base money supply has decreased and this is what you would predict given their inflationary situation. So, they have taken a lot out and this places us in a position to believe that soon the currency will reevaluate. The fundamentals are in our favor. hello Rolclub family, we are all def. hoping it happens like SGS says and that it is this weekend or monday. but if nothing happens even in the next few weeks I will be able to hopefully keep us all up to date on issues in Iraq because i have quite a few very good friends that will be on their way to Iraq for operations. so i will be in direct contact with them hopefully on a daily basis and will be able to update everyone. like i said we are all hoping for something soon because i know that my friends would love for an RV before they have to leave; and i also would love for one for us all.
thank you all very much for all the support and also for all the information. so lets all keep the hopes high and pray for a big RV very very soon like this weekend.

It seems to me that EVERYONE is getting a little testy. Some a little more than others. but in the end we will either be raising our glasses in celebration , or we will be very annoyed with one another. Lets try not to get to upset over others opinions. after all we don't live in a perfect world. and this war in Iraq is not a perfect war. security still plays a great part in this "Dinar Game" and who really knows what is on the minds of the iraqis in charge of finances and banking.
Any RUMORS are JUST that RUMORS. some BAD some GOOD. They are presented as such. and we make up our own decisions on which rumors we want to believe in. Until the RV does happen and if it happens there is nothing acomplished by fighting, curseing, belittleing ,and etc etc etc.
the rumors are posted as an aid to all members. They bring HOPE, and they Bring disappointments. You Just have to go with what is in your own heart and mind, and stop blameing others or reprimanding others. JUST MHO. BOB

for those who wanted to know, i got a call last night from a friend who told me that it had already happened and we were awaiting notification. this information gleened from a business contact that has a business in kurdistan.

"it" being the revalue of the dinar, and that the rate was over a dollar. hence why i am eagerly anticipating this weekends passing.

Wow...after reading the last several pages I thought I would bring this back to center of attention. SGS, thank you, your work is appreciated by many, this may appear to be a rumour but can also be taken as info. sharing which I and others look forward to as we do not have any contacts. This quote is the start of a great thread and should be put back on track as I look forward to SGS answering some quality questions and would also appreciate info. from others that have contacts in Iraq...thank you RR for your input. Lets get this on track people...put the garrulous bickering to rest and hopefully Neno can clean this up and leave the posts that reflect the initial intent of this thread. You know, I hate to wish away a weekend, but hopefully this one is short. Does anyone know if the US holiday on Monday will affect this at all?

I had to order a few dinars today from Chase for some others. Also had to do it by phone. Ya'll know I know the bank manager and I was stuck out in a 18 wheeler a hour away and it was 3pm. I was taking care of some freinds in another state. Have to have your order in by 4pm to go thru. Anyways while this was being done, I ask her about monday on deliever cause of the Holiday and the return time I had been hearing of more than a week. She confirmed the transaction with results of 2 days. And they are open on Monday.

Now my wife was at Wachovia doing some transactions and their sign said that they would be closed. Stange one franchise is open and another in closed. But according to her, Chase Branches will be open on Presidents day Monday.
