as far as the done deal goes, if you recall last fall there was a LOI that was expired the date that i stated it would revalue on. at the LAST MINUTE the country of iraq cancelled that LOI. therefore, how could i have known about them cancelling it at the last minute had i not been in iraq. as far as i was concerned, AND WITH THE INFORMATION THAT I HAD, it was a done deal.

now, as far as this information goes i didnt share it on a whim. i have more than one confirmation on the signing of the pension law and you see it published now. that tells me my sources are correct. they are the ones who relayed to me that shabibi did indeed sign off on the revalue. i have stated repeatedly that the revalue would be triggered by the pension law passing. it was.

considering they can say, do, show, whatever they want with 'speculation' being their reasoning, what makes you think that they havent decided to tell us IN THEIR OWN TIMING???

so far, the only ones who are having an issue with my information sharing are those of you who cant get your heads around it. i suspect that you all are the ones who run to the bank to buy on rumor alone and thats what torques you all off.
Okay, how do I answer this so as not to add fuel to any fire that's erupted here. I am not having a go at you for the rumour (I've said it before on here that I love rumours because they're fun and keeps one entertained but they're only fun if you take them with a grain of salt and not go beyond your means). I was only questioning the way you went about it. I've read of a few cases where someone was losing their house, or people having to sell off dinar to pay bills etc which tells me that people do actually buy into this investment when they really can't afford to maintain or offset the expense. No-one on here is going to admit that they've spent more than they can afford to lose for fear of being called an *****. There are also young and impressionable investors (college students) etc in this. All I was saying to you and anyone who posts rumours to bear these people in mind. Just in case you might be thinking I may fall into this category, I assure you I am not. I bought into this investment with a plan that I would have the balance paid off within a couple of months of purchase and that has been done. So remember, not having a go at you or the rumour but the way you do it. There's a difference. I grant you that you do post some great articles and I am thankful for them. Peace.

Just because some ask questions of the rumour does not make them a naysayer mate, and through reading this thread I don't see anyone who doesn't believe in this investment. Go shake your pom poms.

you wanna accuse me of saying done deal knock yourself out. i never put anyone down and want to know why defending my own honor is frowned upon?
If Shabibi signed off on the revalue last Thursday he would have to submit a Letter of Intent to the IMF. The LOI would only be valid for 30 days so the clock is ticking on your next ... ummm ... "scenario"

    To simplify the whole situation:

Rumors were stated that have been confirmed from multiple sources. Some get excited, some get defensive. Either way, it is information that was politely disclosed and even the original posters are having to enter into this bickering battle of who is right. My point is - who cares?!? Let the rumor be just that - a rumor. Thank you SGS and RR for sharing, and please continue to do so.

See - I can say that with out even taking a side, mentioning an M2, or jumping on a jet to FL! Lol. There have been at least 3 threads so far on this forum (more on the others) because people cannot just let a rumor be a rumor.

And finally, at least give the rumor (any rumor for that matter) time to play out before bickering over it being wrong. This whole thing has given me a headache.

    Arrow Thanks RR..........

RR . . . Thank you for your informative posts. I (and many others) appreciate you (SGS & the others) sharing the info that you receive as many of us don't have any contacts for dinar. Don't pay attention to the negative comments, people should just be happy that you share what you hear. We're all here for the same reason. Here's to a June ('07) Reval......

RC has rules to be followed just as anywhere else. But these rules do allow for alot of room for disagreement. The definition of a "trouble maker" seems to be highly selective these days depending on the eye of the beholder.

Disagreement is not a problem it's the tone taken when doing so.... There is a major difference in "I think that's wrong because of a, b and c" and "You're an *****! you don't have a clue!!!"

I respectfully disagree, HH. Anyone here who makes a decision to put themselves at financial risk based upon a rumor needs therapy, an intervention, or rehab. We're not here to be anyone's parent. It's not SGS or RR or an other posters concern to "protect people from themselves. It's just like all the people who took out adjustable rate mortgages a few years ago, and who are now losing their homes to foreclosure. They made a decision and it turned out to be the wrong decision. I'm sure many people here will make bad decisions even when we get our reval. Think about all the lottery winners who are broke within a few years of winning. It's a shame, but it's not out problem. I, for one, welcome any information about our investment. And I don't change my position based on a rumor.

You are correct. There has been talked about a LOI being issued to the IMF sometime in April which would mean it would expire about the end of may if not early june depending on when it was submitted! So timing could be spot on! Who knows?
